Today we're going to be taking a look at the Virginia Two Inch Hitch Cover from AMG. The hitch cover is going to allow you to show your school pride. It's going to add a clean finish look to your hitch and it's going to help keep dirt and grime out of the receiver tube of your head. The hitch cover is made from a steel construction. It's going to feature a really nice black, powered coat finish which is going to do a great job at resisting rust and corrosion. Here on the front, we're going to have a chrome plaited metal emblem. That's going to feature a nice rust proof and fade proof design.
The product is made right here in the USA. Here on the backside, it's got a foam gasket that slides over the shank. That's really going to help reduce rattle in between the hitch and the hitch cover. This is an officially licensed product. To get it fully installed it does require a hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock. Those items are sold separately but if you're in need of one, you can find them right here at etrailer.com.
The pin holes on the hitch cover will except the standard five eight inch diameter pin. We're going to take a few measurements. Here at the hitch cover face it's going to give us an overall width. Pretty close to five inches. Has an overall height of about three and a half inches. The distance that we have from the back of the foam pad to the center of the hitch pin hole, that's going to measure pretty close to two and a half inches.
This is designed for a two inch by two inch hitch. It's a very simple installation. All you have to do is slide it in the receiver tube of your hitch, line up your pin holes, and secure with the hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock. That's going to do it for today's look at the Virginia Two Inch Hitch Cover from AMG.

This product looks fantastic. I installed it with a locking pin (also sold by etrailer) to my black and silver Avalanche. The hitch cover looks perfect, and the quality of the chrome and heavy-duty metal base is exactly was I was looking for. The back of the cover also comes with a thick rubber pad to minimize rattle and also protects the cover from being damaged. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a sharper hitch cover, or an easier installation, than what I got with this product.

I received the hitch cover exactly as advertised, which was great. I had one previously which I bought from some where else, and was reluctant to order from etrailer not having bought anything from etrailer. However, the hitch cover arrived promptly and exactly as advertised. I was also sent an email letting me know when the product shipped. Great customer service!! Would buy from etrailer again.

Before I took it out of the box, I could tell that this was a high quality product. The colors are bright and the fit is perfect. The foam seal to keep water out of the hitch was an unexpected nice touch. It looks great on my truck.
Be advised, it does not come with any kind of retaining device, you will need a hitch pin to keep it in place. I purchased a locking pin because something as nice as this would probably get stolen.

This comes with one foam gasket so you would not need to order a second one with part # AMG-FM.
