Seemed like the hitch was not quite wide enough. One hit with a hammer on both of the frame plates bent it out enough to slide around the frame. All the bolt holes lined up and worked perfectly. 10/10 recommended!

Thank you for your review. The Curt trailer hitch fits the following vehicles: 1982 - 2004 Chevrolet S-10 Pickup with Factory Roll Pan Bumper 1982 - 1990 GMC S-15 Pickup with Factory Roll Pan Bumper 1991 - 2004 GMC Sonoma with Factory Roll Pan Bumper If your vehicle does fit the descriptions above and the hitch is a 18 too narrow it is most likely flexed. Hitches can be become flexed in shipping periodically. I have attached a very helpful link to fix it.

  • What Hitch Fits A 1999 GMC Sonoma Without A Step-Up Bumper And No Cutting Of Rear Fascia
Yes, I will be able to help you get the correct hitch. The hitch you will need for your 1999 GMC Sonoma with rear fascia and no step bumper is the Curt Class III Trailer Hitch, # 13920. It is a 2 Inch Class III hitch that has a Gross Towing Weight of 3,500 lbs. and a Tongue Weight of 350 lbs. The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch, # 75085, you have referenced is for 1999 GMC Sonomas with step-up rear bumpers. If you will be towing, you will need the Curt Ball Mount, # C45010, and the Pin and Clip,...

  • Availability of Trailer Hitch for 1998 Chevrolet S-10 pick with the Extreme Kit
From my research it looks like the 1998 Chevrolet S-10 pick with the Extreme Kit comes with a roll pan bumper. If that describes your vehicle then we do have a class III trailer hitch for you. Take a look at part # 13920. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you. If you plan on doing some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. We have a Curt Class III hitch available that will fit your 1999 GMC Sonoma but the part # C13300 is not a fit for it so I would instead recommend you the part # 13920 which is a confirmed fit that would work well. For trailer wiring you would then want the # C55359 which is also a confirmed fit. If you wanted to do some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise...

  • How To Determine If the Curt Trailer Hitch 13920 Will Line Up With Roll Pan Bumper on Chevy S-10
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 13920 is designed for a 1982 - 2004 Chevrolet S-10 Pickup with roll pan bumper so this will be the best option we can offer. It's hard to say whether or not the trailer hitch will line up with the license plate area but if you measure down from the upper mounting holes the top of the receiver tube will be around the 2-1/2" mark.

  • What is a Roll Ban Bumper when Looking at Trailer Hitch Fits for a 1989 Chevy S-10
If you take a look at the picture I have included the truck in it has a type of roll pan bumper. Essentially it is a bumper that matches the contours of the vehicle instead of protruding out like a regular step bumper. If your 1989 Chevy S-10 has a regular bumper then you can use Curt hitch # C13021. If it has a roll pan bumper then use # 13920. If you plan on doing some towing I recommend etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch...

  • Trailer Hitch Fit for 1998 Chevy S-10 Truck
The correct hitch will depend on which bumper your S-10 is equipped with. For a factory step bumper, I'd recommend the Curt # C13132. For a roll pan bumper, you'll want to use # 13920, but you'll need to cut a hole in the license plate well and find an old-school hinged license plate holder online or from a salvage yard. If you have a short bed truck, the # 13920 hitch will prevent the spare tire from being stowed under the vehicle.

To determine if a trailer hitch receiver will fit on your 2003 Chevrolet S-10 that has an aftermarket bumper you'll have to do a little measuring. There are three Curt Class III trailer hitch receivers that may work for you.
