The only flag kit available is the Taylor Made USA Boat Flag Kit for Pontoon Boats - 12" Tall x 18" Long Flag - 24" Pole # 369921. Unfortunately, this would require drilling since there is no clamp on option. It does, however, have a 24" long pole and a 12" x 18" US flag. This kit uses a marine-grade anodized aluminum flag pole so it is durable and corrosion resistant.

The Taylor Made Mounting Socket for 1/2" Diameter Flag Pole # 369961 does require a 1/2" flag pole. We do not carry any flag poles with that diameter. So you would need to source a flag pole locally.

Typically the Taylor Made Deluxe Boat Flag # 369905 is designed to be mounted on the gunwales, because there is a more sturdy surface for it to be mounted into as opposed to a hollow piece of fiberglass. However, if your boat roof isn't hollow and has some sort of thick ribbing through it (or it's metal) , I don't see any reason that you can't mount it on that surface.

The boards on the CE Smith Bunk Style Guide-Ons part # CE27671 should be positioned about 2-3" from the inside of the pontoons on your boat. In order to help see the boards I recommend moving them up higher on the upright but not so much so that they contact the underside of the boat. You can then use some fluorescent tape or bendable flags like what you find on a bicycle as this should give you a more pronounced visual cue.

Two red flags go up right away. The first is the grounds, and the second is the unused wire you have.
Improper grounds can wreak havoc with trailer lights. You do not have to run the ground wires to the trailer frame, but they do need to be run to the white ground wire on the trailer connector. If I understand correctly, you ran them to the white trailer connector wire and then also to the trailer frame.
