The Replacement Locking Ratchet Arm Assembly for T2 Bike Carriers # 752-1272-001 is about 1-1/2 inches longer than the original T2. This helps especially with Fat Bike Tires. I can only assume that it will eliminate your fork contact issue without knowing your bike as obviously fat bike tires require a wider fork as well.
