I recommend the Yakima Fullback trunk rack part # Y02633 because we recently asked our install and demo team to pick their favorite trunk rack based on performance and ease of install/use and they all picked this trunk rack. You will really like this rack. The four easily adjustable straps will make it easier to install than the other racks that use 6 straps and the adjustable arms of the rack allow you to load your bike level on this rack regardless of the shape of your vehicle.

Konig K-Summit Tire Chains # TH02230K22 you were looking at are indeed legal in California and every state, meeting the legal requirements of tire chains so you won't be made to turn around.
The # TH02230K22 will fit your 2016 Toyota Prius as long as you have the 215/45-17 tire size still. view full answer...
We do have a carrier that will fit your square crossbars so you can haul a pair of kayaks, and since you are only going to be using it on occasion, the best option is going to be a post-style carrier. These are just as effective as J-style carriers, and will save you the expense of having to purchase two separate carriers for both kayaks. For your two kayaks I recommend an option from Thule:
- Thule The Stacker - Rooftop Multi-Kayak Carrier # TH830
This carrier will fit your square crossbars,... view full answer...
I reached out to my contact at Detail K2 and they mentioned that the Detail K2 Mighty Multi Utility Trailer - 6' Long - 1,295 lbs # K2MMT4X6 you were looking at is rated for the posted speed limit on any highway in North America.
With this being said, in my personal opinion I recommend keeping the speed to 70MPH or less as higher speeds cause excess heat in the tires and will lead to short tire life. This will also make them more prone to damage or blow-outs.

The plastic appearance panel on your 2010 Toyota Prius will stay in place with Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 24847 installed so you won't have to worry about that.
The hitch will add some extra weight to the vehicle, less than 25 pounds, and minimal drag, if any. If you are in to hypermiling then you might be able to notice a slight decrease in mileage, if there is any at all. The way a person drives a vehicle has more affect on fuel economy than adding a hitch would.

In order to pick out the correct hub assembly or bearings for a trailer you are going to need know a few key pieces of information. The first thing you will need to know is the bolt pattern of your hubs. This is so you get a hub that is compatible with your wheels (not important if you only need bearings). I attached an FAQ article on determining bolt pattern for you to check out.
Next thing you will need to know is what spindle you have on your trailer. In order to do that you can either... view full answer...
The Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero crossbar option is rated for 165 lbs and has a limited amount of spacing underneath the crossbar where the feet mount so you'll need to stick to the 49" length for your 2017 Toyota Prius.
I personally like the Vortex system better because it looks better plus it will work better against wind noise and drag when compared to square or round crossbars:

The Thule T2 Pro XTR Bike Rack # TH23JV will work directly with your 2012 Toyota Prius. This is the one you will need to use since your Prius has a class 1 receiver.
For using the same rack with your Silverado 2500HD that has the 2-1/2" receiver you will need 2 adapters. I recommend the B&W Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeve # BWRHXA2182 that will slide into the receiver and make the receiver tube 2". You will then use the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Adapter # C45770 to bring it down to the... view full answer...
The Thule Roof Rack that you referenced that consists of part numbers # TH712100, # TH710501, and # TH145001 has been confirmed to fit your 2015 Toyota Prius and would work well with your Thule Cascade Cargo Box TH677XT.

We do offer several roof racks for you but the SportRack Semi-Custom Roof Rack for Naked Roofs, part # SR1002 is not designed to fit your 2006 Toyota Prius
I recommend The Rhino-Rack 2500 Series Roof Rack. This roof rack system has black lightweight aluminum crossbars and the legs include locks in the leg covers that help keep the rack secure on your roof. To order this system you will need parts # RRVA126B-2, # RRRLKVA, and # DK079.

For a trunk mounted bike rack confirmed as a fit for your 2017 Toyota Prius the Yakima Fullback part # Y02634 would be your best option. It's lightweight at 24 lbs, a confirmed fit, very easy to use, and secures the bikes well.
If you plan on carrying any womens or alternative framed bikes without horizontal top tubes you may also be interested in purchasing a Kuat Bike Frame Adapter Bar # UB01 to provide a horizontal top tube on your bikes to provide an attachment point. I attached a... view full answer...
The Curt 2 Bike Platform Rack - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount - Tilting # C18085 fits a 2017 Toyota Prius hitch and carries most Yuba Cargo Bikes. It has a weight capacity of 45 lbs per bike and a max wheel-base of 68".
With this being a frame mount bike rack and most Yuba bikes not having a traditional top tube the Hollywood Racks Bike Frame Adapter Bar # HRBA-PRO will make it much easier to secure your bike.

If you plan on carrying any womens or alternative framed bikes without horizontal top tubes you I would recommend the Kuat Bike Frame Adapter Bar # UB01 to provide a horizontal top tube on your bikes to provide an attachment point. I attached a review video for this product also. This will allow the bikes to be carried more level and will provide more ground clearance.
What's great about this adapter is that it actually is the easiest to use, has the widest range, and has the easiest latch... view full answer...
I have a solution for you to carry 3 bikes on your 2011 Toyota Prius, however it is correct that Class I trailer hitches are limited to carrying 2 bikes on a hitch mounted bike rack. A 3-bike rack like the Thule Helium Pro 3 # TH9043PRO will still fit on a Class I hitch, but is limited to carrying only 2 bikes.

The Hollywood Racks Expedition 2-bike rack # HRF6-2 is indeed a fit for your Prius, as confirmed by our Hollywood Racks rep.
If you'll be transporting women's bikes or bikes with sharply-angled top tubes, you might also consider a frame adapter bar like part # 64005. The bar spans the distance between the handlebar gooseneck and the seat post, which provides a secondary attachment point for the bike rack. This allows the bike to be carried level, which maximizes ground clearance. I'll... view full answer...

The Thule Hitching Post Pro # TH934XTR is a great bike rack that you can carry on a Class I hitch receiver with your 2011 Toyota Prius. However, with a Class I hitch you are restricted to only 2 bikes. So you might consider a 2-bike option like the Swagman Trailhead # S63360. I've linked our selection of 2-bike hitch mounted hanging bike racks that fit a Class I hitch for you as well. But if you just like the Hitching Post Pro there's no reason why you can't use it with just 2 bikes.

Since the Curt Cargo Carrier part # C18110 uses a threaded hitch pin you'd need to use a threaded hitch lock like the SportRack part # SR0901 which we know works with the Curt racks. The other options you mentioned are for hitch accessories that have hollow shanks and would not work. This setup would work great in the EcoHitch part # 306-X7196 as well. view full answer...
I have a good solution for you with the Demco Kar Kaddy SS Tow Dolly with Disc Brakes part # DM9713045. There are no options for attaching a base plate or connection point on the front of your 2014 Toyota Prius to be able to pull it behind your motor home.

The Thule Helium Aero # TH9042PRO holds 2 bikes. There is a 3 bike version though and it is # TH9043PRO. Whether it is the 2-bike version or the 3-bike version, the Helium Aero bike racks are pretty much top of the line across the board for bike racks. Besides its updated design, these racks are also very light weight and come with a plethora of features.
The 2-bike version weighs a mere 19 pounds and the 3-bike weighs just 20 pounds. The aluminum construction is not only light weight... view full answer...
