Kayak Carrier For 2 Kayaks That Fits Square Crossbars For Occasional Use

Hi. I have a Thule System 1061 installed on my 2011 Prius with the square cross bars. I am an occasional kayaker and Id like to add a carrier to carry two kayaks. What models of kayak carriers should I be looking at that will fit my cross bars? Thank you for your help!

We do have a carrier that will fit your square crossbars so you can haul a pair of kayaks, and since you are only going to be using it on occasion, the best option is going to be a post-style carrier. These are just as effective as J-style carriers, and will save you the expense of having to purchase two separate carriers for both kayaks. For your two kayaks I recommend an option from Thule:

This carrier will fit your square crossbars, and is a simple way to haul both of your kayaks on their sides. The Stacker comes with tie-down straps for one of your kayaks, so you will just need another tie-down kit if you don't have one, the Bow/Stern Tie-Down Ropes w/ Ratchets and Strap Loops # Y04031.
