  • Why Are Some Torklift Tie Downs for Bed Mount Options and Others for Frame
  • The part # TLS9013 tie downs are considerably shorter than the frame mounted options like the # TLS9529-2-LK. If you added chain links and did it in a safe way maybe you could use them for a frame mounted setup but I would strongly recommend you go with something designed for frame brackets instead.

  • Can You Replace Just the Valve When Upgrading To Electric Sewer Waste Control
  • In order to upgrade from manual to electric waste control valves you'll need to change out the entire housing/body as well. For this, we have quite a few options which will depend on if you have separate valve like part # E40B-8 or combined like part # E85-8. These options both have hub fittings which are the easiest to change out since all you need to do is cut the old ones off and slide the new ones on with some solvent part # A05-0303.

  • Which Snow Tire Chains Should I Use On My 2020 Ford F-150 With 265-70R17 Tires
  • If you don't plan on using the snow tire chains very often, then I would go with Titan Chain Diagonal Alloy Cable Snow Tire Chains - Light Truck - 1 Pair # TC747DC. This is a cable design which is typically easier to install and use than chains, and they will be less likely to damage your vehicle if they happen to break. Rubber adjusters are included which will keep the cables tight on your truck's wheels. These are not recommended for heavy snow. If you plan to use the tire chains often,...

  • The most economical ladder rack that will still allow you to use your inside-the-rail bed cover on your 2016 Ford F-150 is the Adarac Aluminum Series Truck Bed Ladder Rack. • TracRac Sliding Ladder Rack Recommendation for a 2010 Ford F-150 Short Bed
  • Sounds like you have a bed rail cover that does not have cutouts built into it to allow access to the stake pockets. • Blindspot Mirror Recommendation for a 2010 Ford F-150
  • I have a solution for you, but the K-Source Custom Blind-Spot Mirrors # KSCW2000 that you referenced only fits 2004 to 2008 Ford F-150s so it wouldn't work for you. Instead you would want the stick-on blind spot mirrors like part # KSC0600 that would work well on your vehicle.

  • Difference Between Sidewinder Reese Revolution and 5th Airborne Pin Box
  • The Reese Sidewinder and Revolution are the exact same thing. Sidewinder is the brand name when you buy one aftermarket and Revolution is the name if the pin box came on the trailer frame the factory. So basically Reese sells Sidewinders to customers and Revolutions to trailer manufacturers. But they are the exact same. 5th Airborne setups are a cushioned pin box that can be offered as a standalone cushioned pin box or as integrated into a Sidewinder/Revolution. So basically if you need...

  • Base Plates, Tow Bar, Wiring, Safety Cables, Braking System to Flat Tow a 2001 Ford F-150
  • First, you will need to add base plates to your 2001 Ford F-150. If you have a 2-wheel drive model, you will need # 492-1 (will not work on Lightning models). If you have a 4-wheel drive model (does not include diesels), you will need # 456-15. Next, you will need a tow bar that is compatible with XL style base plates. I have included a link to the available tow bar options that will work. I recommend the RoadMaster Falcon 2, # RM-520, or, you can use the RoadMaster StowMaster, # RM-581,...

  • Will Longer Chains be Needed When Swapping to Higher Rated Spring Bars
  • It's harder to say for sure if you'd need longer chains, but most likely if you are using all 9 links of your current chains you'd have to go with a longer chain like the # 58364 that you referenced. The stiffer spring bars will require more links than what you currently have as you won't have to engage them quite as much most likely so it really depends on how many links you are currently using. That said, it's also really almost impossible to say how many links you end up using.

  • Troubleshooting Coupler of Trailer that is Difficult to Unlatch
  • The latching mechanism of the coupler might need to be lubricated or is possibly out of adjustment (if possible). Look underneath the coupler at the latching mechanism. If there's a nut on the side of the latch that you can see you might try backing that off a turn or so to allow the latch to not fit as tightly and have an easier time sliding off of the ball when disengaged. You can also spray a lubricant like WD-40 on moving parts as well to help allow them to move freer.

  • Recommended Weight Distribution System With Sway Control for 7500 lb GVWR Travel Trailer
  • If you have the travel trailer loaded to the maximum, your likely as-towed tongue weight will be between 500 and 1100 lbs. That's a pretty big swing, so determining the tongue weight of your travel trailer as you'd have it fully loaded and ready to tow is a recommended starting point. Once you determine that, add the weight of anything you carry in the truck bed behind the rear axle. This is the weight you'll use to find which system will work best for your needs. I'll link you to an article...

  • Determining Which Bearings 2002 Yacht Club Series R1616 Uses
  • I would be happy to help you determine the correct bearings for your 2002 Yacht Club series R1616, but unfortunately I was unable to find the bearings your trailer uses by the VIN you provided. Instead you will need to determine which inner and outer bearings your trailer uses by removing one of the hubs and looking for the bearing number stamped in the face of each bearing as shown in the included picture of the # L44649. If your bearings are worn to the point that you cannot read the...

  • Weight Distribution System for 2017 Ford F-150 & 34' Travel Trailer
  • I recommend the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control # EQ37100ET. The sway control brackets ensure that your trailer stays in line with your tow vehicle. This will evenly distribute weight over axles of tow vehicle and trailer for stability and control and helps to create a more level ride for both tow vehicle and trailer. The integrated 4-Point Sway Control limits side-to-side movement of trailer. 2-5/16" Hitch ball and adjustable shank included. If you do...
