Your brake magnets should have 12 volts - or very close to it - when the gain on the brake controller is turned all the way up. If you are getting only 10 volts then it is possible there is corrosion in your trailer connectors that may be hampering it. Also make sure your ground connections at your brake magnets are secure and free from any type of corrosion.

It looks like you have the Curt X5 5th Wheel Base Rail Adapter # 16310 for B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Trailer Hiches. A lot of times when the pin isn't quite lining up with the adapter's mounting post it's because of a slight elevation caused by a bed liner or mat. If you have a bed liner/mat you will need to trim around the base of the adapter so that it sits flush with the bed. This should drop the post enough to line up with the pin.

I'm not totally sure why this is happening in all honestly, if you unplug the Tekonsha POD Trailer Brake Controller part # 39523 does the power go away? If so, check the blue wire for voltage coming from the brake controller, if you get power here without the pedal pressed or the override then you know the controller is bad. If that connector you are plugging into is related to the tow package wiring, then that is what is causing the problem on your 2018 Ford F-250. Basically, the truck thinks that a trailer is connected so it turns off the backup sensors (though I am not sure why it would shut off the camera) so that they do not alert you because they think the trailer is an obstacle.

Since you are not getting the 12V power when your truck is running, you most likely don't have a fuse issue as you stated their isn't a specified fuse or relay in the owners manual. The issue is that your truck is computerized even at the 7-way. It can sense when a trailer is connected based on the voltage draw so it won't sent a signal for 12V when using some testers, especially LED testers because there isn't enough of a power draw.

I talked to the vendor about this situation and was told it is a common thing with the F-250. They stated that the screen can get flipped like that when you put your truck into reverse and then switch to the cargo camera and by doing so it causes the already-engaged factory reverse camera to partially disengage while the cargo/bed camera activates. I checked the Lippert Turning Point manual and below attached the maintenance recommendations. No mention of needing to lube the hitch plate is listed so you really don't need to lube that area.
