  • Can the Global Link RV Entry Door Locking Latch Kit be Used to Replace a Door With a Cam Lock
  • The Global Link RV Entry Door Locking Latch Kit with Keyed Alike Option # 295-000019 needs to be installed into a cutout that is 2-1/2" wide x 3-1/2" tall to 3" wide x 4" tall, so you'd either need to add a cutout to your door or replace it with another cam lock. We do have the Bauer Products Locking Cam Latch for Horse Trailers # BA32FR which would work for your trailer as a replacement should you just want to stick with a cam lock.

  • To order a lock keyed alike, like the Global Link RV Entry Door Locking Latch Kit # 295-000019 that you were looking at, you'll just need to select the "Keyed Alike" option from the drop down menu on the webpage. I have attached a picture showing where you can find that option on the product page. As far as getting an entry door lock keyed alike to match your other etrailer locks, that unfortunately isn't an option. Our keyed alike trailer door options are for Bauer Products # BA64FR...

  • Can Lock Cylinders on Global Lock RV Entry Door Locking Latch Kit be Changed Out
  • The Global Link RV Entry Door Locking Latch Kit # 295-000019 does not have the ability to change out lock cylinders because the Replacement Lock Cylinders such as # 295-000005 are not the right size and actually designed to fit baggage doors. If you wanted locks with different keys you could order multiples that are keyed unique, but that would really be the only option. In regards to shims, there are not that are available for this purpose so the best option is for you to attempt to fabricate...

  • Is There a Template for the Global Link RV Entry Door Locking Latch Kit
  • The Global Link RV Entry Door Locking Latch Kit part # 295-000019 will install in a cutout anywhere from 2-1/2" wide x 3-1/2" tall to 3" wide x 4" tall. I don't have any sort of template for you to use but if you sketch one out on a piece of cardboard using the dimensions above that should then help with installation. Please note, if you have a cam door lock then you would actually want to use the Global Link Vise Lock for Cam-Action Door Latch part # 295-000024 which just attaches to...

  • Does Global Link RV Entry Door Locking Latch Kit # 295-000002 Come with a Template to Install
  • Global Link RV Entry Door Locking Latch Kit # 295-000002 does not come with a template. For a new installation (not replacing an old one) it could be its own template. It installs in latch cutouts that are 2-1/2" wide x 3-1/2" tall to 3" wide x 4" tall so what I would do is cut the minimum size hole, 2-1/2" wide and 3-1/2 inches tall, and go from there.

  • How to Install the Global Link RV Entry Door Locking Latch Kit on a Blank Door
  • I do have some information for you that should help but unfortunately we have not yet had the chance to install the Global Link RV Entry Door Locking Latch Kit part # 295-000019 on a blank door so we do not have an install video. Basically, you will want to mark a cutout about 2-1/2" wide x 3-1/2" tall in the face of the door near the edge where you want the handle to be and then use something like a dremel to cut it out. Once the hole is made you then need to make another cutout but in...

  • Does Latch Offset Need to Be Considered for Fit of Global Link RV Entry Door
  • If the door thickness and cut out size matches what the Global Link RV Entry Door Locking Latch Kit with Keyed Alike Option # 295-000021 was designed for there's no need to try and match latch offset as that will match up as well. That's not a dimension that's needed thankfully when picking out RV latches since it's basically a standard dimension. Fits doors that are 1-1/4" to 1-1/2" thick Installs into latch cutouts that are 2-1/2" wide x 3-1/2" tall to 3" wide x 4" tall

  • Is There a Template for the Global Link RV Entry Door Locking Latch Kit 295-000019
  • The Global Link RV Entry Door Locking Latch Kit with Keyed Alike Option part # 295-000019 does not come with any sort of pattern or template but I can confirm that you will need at least a 2-1/2" wide x 3-1/2" tall cutout. If you like, you can make a template using these measurements and then transfer that to the door. The cutout would need to be placed near the edge of the door but since this is a new install you can pick the handle height.

  • Can Seaflo Multi-Purpose Access Door Be Locked
  • The Multi-Purpose Access Door # SE68VR is designed without a lock so you have easy access to whatever is stored behind the door. There isn't a way to add a lock unless you want to try modifying the door (which you would have to figure out on your end). As an alternative we have the Valterra Locking Electrical Cable Hatch for RVs # A10-2151BKVP instead. This is about 6" smaller (14" vs 8") but it does come with a lock, as well as a small port you can open from the inner part of the door...

  • How Far From The Edge Of The Door Should The Cutout Hole Be A Bauer Products Entry Door Lock
  • From the cutout hole to the edge of the door will need to be approximately 1-1/4" in order for the plunger of the Bauer Products Camper Door Lock # BA44FR to sit far enough out to catch the opening/strike plate in the door frame and hold the door closed. RV doors will typically have a flange that sticks out further than the door itself so make sure you're measuring from the edge of the door and not the flange, otherwise you'll put the cutout hole too far over.

  • Are Keys and Locks for the Global Link RV Entry Door Locking Latch Kit # 295-000019 Unique
  • Unless you choose the "Keyed Alike" option when ordering the Global Link RV Entry Door Locking Latch Kit # 295-000019 each unit that you received would have a randomly chosen lock core number. Just to give you an idea of how unique that would be I have linked our page of replacement keys for Global Link RV Locks. There are about 91 keys that we currently carry on our end (as of August 2018) but I do know that Global Link has quite a few more keys/lock out there. So no, the keys and locks...

I'm not sure why it isn't demonstrated in the video but I just opened one in our warehouse. If I misunderstand what you're asking just reply back to me. Once you have the pieces separated you use the included hardware to fasten them to each side of the door. Sandwiching the door between each piece of the door latch.

  • The Global Link Ultra E Pro Electronic Lock part # 295-000183 does not require the keycode to be entered each time you wish to open the door. • What Is the Global Link RV Entry Door Locking Latch Kit Made Of
  • I don't have a material composition list of the Global Link RV Entry Door Locking Latch Kit part # 295-000019 but the latch, face plate, backing plate, and dead bolt are all made of metal. They are very solid and secure hence the almost unanimous five star reviews. The catch plate would likely give way before the latch did in the event of a break-in.
