The bumper should not need to be removed to install the Draw-Tite Class III Trailer Hitch # 76021 on your 2015 Jeep Renegade. The trailer hitch should have come with 4 fish wires to help you feed the bolts and spacers into place. If your Renegade does not have a tow hook, you will need to drill an access hole to fish the bolt and spacers through. If you have a tow hook, it will not be necessary to drill an access hole.

The Curt hitch part # C13269 is a fit for your 2020 Jeep Renegade and doesn't require lowering the exhaust but does require you to enlarge access holes for the hardware. Most if not all trailer wiring harnesses/connectors use larger wires for the 12 volt and ground circuits compared to the other circuits (lights). The sockets themselves don't have an amperage rating so you will go by the draw of the things drawing power.

You're not "required" to use a jack and jack stands when installing the Curt # C13269 but when performing the installation without an additional set of hands it's never a bad idea to have something that you can use to hold the hitch roughly in place. It's also possible that your hitch might have been slightly bent during shipping so you may want to try to locate if there are any spots you can bend back into shape; this isn't an uncommon occurrence during the shipping process.

You nailed it! Since you already have a 4-Way on your 2017 Jeep Renegade Latitude then you would just need the 4- to 7-Way adapter like you said, # 37185. The Prodigy RF # TK94FR needs the 12 volt circuit to be functional on the 7-Way but not the blue brake output wire or purple reverse light wire so you can cap those off as you said.

I do have a way in order for you to flat tow your 2017 Jeep Renegade, however the only way this is possible according to the manufacturer is by using a tow dolly. Unfortunately, the Jeep Renegade is not compatible being flat towed with four wheels down. The Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180 requires a fully functional 7-way trailer connector with active power in order operate. A 4-way will not supply the needed power circuit. The easiest way to add a 7 way connector to your 2018 Jeep Renegade that already has a 4 way trailer connector attached is going to be using the # ETBC7L . This allows you to minimize the wiring work required and keep your existing 4 way plug for future towing setups that may need it.
