Most suitcases are taller than 18 inches so you would have to lie them down inside the bag. You could like get 3 regular sized suitcases in the bag by placing one lying down, another on top of it, and a third standing on end but at an angle so that it is leaning against the... view full answer...

A properly loaded trailer should have a tongue weight (TW) that is 10-15% of the weight of the trailer. If your trailer weighs in at 10,965 lbs then your ideal TW range is 1,096 lbs - 1,645 lbs. You can use a commercial scale or rig something up with a bathroom scale to help determine what your loaded TW is but we've found the easiest solution is to use the Scale # e99044 because it is easy to use, and it easily stores inside your trailer or tow vehicle so you can make sure you get you... view full answer...

Based on the standard checked back dimensions I believe this would be too large. Weight should be fine as that's typically around 50 lb. view full answer...

From your purchase records I see that you have purchased the Draw-Tite Sportframe Class I Trailer Hitch 24833 is designed to fit your 2007 Pontiac Solstice and is no longer available. The trailer hitch has a Class I tongue weight rating of 200 pounds.

If you choose a 2013 Ford Escape that has the factory tow package and has a towing capacity of 3,500 pounds then it can handle the light tent trailer without issue. What you will want to look at is the gross combined weight rating. This rating is the most the vehicle and trailer can be including passengers, fuel, and luggage.
Ford did not put this specific information in the owners manual that I found online, only how to find it on the vehicle. If you look in the drivers side door jamb... view full answer...
For the Thule Motion XT Alpine Rooftop Cargo Box - 16 cu ft - Black # TH629706 the interior dimensions are 84-1/2" long x 33" wide x 11-1/4" tall. Since the height appears to be an issue for garage door clearance, the distance from the top of your crossbar to the top of the box is 12-1/4 inches.
I was able to confirm the interior height of 11-1/4 inches is from the bottom of the ridge on the underside, so from the top of the ridge the measurement is 10-3/4 inches. So you will have 3/4... view full answer...

You are correct that passenger and cargo weight inside a vehicle does reduce the trailer weight it can tow. A vehicle like your PT that is intended primarily to transport people may not have much trailer towing capacity if you have a full load of passengers and cargo.
I checked the online owner's manual for the 2005 PT Cruiser and the manual states (on page 242) the maximum trailer weight is 1000-lbs when the total weight of passengers, luggage and cargo is no more than 865-lbs. This is... view full answer...
The tongue weight capacity of the CURT Trailer Hitch, # C13143, for the 2010 Lexus RX 350, is 600 pounds. If the vehicle tongue weight capacity is under 600 pounds or under the 500 pounds of the carrier then you go by the lowest rating.
Tongue weight is calculated by the weight of the carrier plus the weight of the cargo loaded on it. You also have to add in the weight of anything loaded behind the rear axle of the vehicle.
So, if you have a 50 pound carrier and put 200 pounds of cargo... view full answer...
As long as you stay under the weight capacities of every item in your setup you will be just fine from a weight capacity standpoint.
The Thule Force part # TH6357B has a 110 lb capacity. If the cargo in the box stays under that and then you stay under 165 total for the rack you would be fine.
