The tongue weight of your vehicle and hitch will also apply in the same manner when it comes to carrying bikes on a bike rack. You will want to refer to the tongue weight capacity in your owner's manual for the most accurate information, but the Draw-Tite # 76143 has a maximum tongue weight capacity of 750-lbs, so you'd be able to put that much combined weight in bikes and a bike rack using the hitch (which would take some pretty heavy bikes!). view full answer...
While I wasn't able to find a listed capacity for this hitch on the installation instructions, the Stealth hitch part # 391TES317T has a 3,500 lb towing capacity and a 350 lb tongue weight capacity. I confirmed this with my contact at Stealth Hitches for you.
Your 2018 Tesla Model 3 on the other hand only has a 963 lb towing capacity as listed by Tesla. This means you would be limited by your vehicle's capacity, which in this case, is the lowest rated component. view full answer...
The difference between the two ball mount kits # 989891 and # 989899 is just that the # 989899 comes with two of the ball mounts that comes with the # 989891 and an additional hitch pin and clip. view full answer...
The Stealth Hitches Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver w/ Towing Kit # 391TES317T for your 2023 Tesla Model 3 has a shipping weight of 67 lbs so you're looking at about 65 lbs for the kit itself.
The wiring and ball mount account for about 25 lbs though so for the main frame unit it's only going to weight in at about 40 lbs. view full answer...
The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 76143 which is a fit for a 2020 Tesla Model X has a tongue weight capacity of 750 lbs so that is the amount of weight you carry with a bike rack and bikes, cargo carrier with cargo, or on the trailer tongue. That said, the vehicle is likely rated lower so you may want to check with the manufacturer to see what weight they recommend for the trailer tongue if applicable. That said, I don't think a four bike rack would be out of the question... view full answer...

For the EcoHitch Access Hole Cover # 306-XA2002 here are the instructions on how and where to drill access hole:
Place the bumper on the ground to allow marking on the inside floor of the plastic undercover with ribs.
Measure from the front of the plastic 26-3/4 inches along the center rib, if using a 3-1/2 inch hole saw. More hand clearance is possible if using a 4-inch hole saw but measure 26-1/2 inches.
Mark two points to use as start holes. Mark 3/4 inch from the center towards... view full answer...
To determine if the Thule Motion XT XL cargo box # TH629806 and the Thule Motion XT Alpine part # TH613 are going to fit and allow you clearance to open your hatch you will need to take one measurement. You will need to measure from the center of your front crossbar back to the rear hatch seam.
The Alpine requires at least 55-1/4 inches for this measurement and the XT XL needs at least 51-1/4 inches. view full answer...
The distance from the hitch pin hole on the Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver # 391TES317 is 2-1/2". Once installed on your 2018 Tesla Model 3 it will stick out about 3-3/4" from the bottom edge of your rear bumper. You are also correct, using an extension typically reduces your capacity by 50%.
In order to avoid this problem I recommend using the Gen-Y Adjustable 2-Ball Mount w/ Stacked Receivers - 2-1/2" Hitch - 6" Drop/Rise - 21K # 325-GH-623. The Gen-Y stacked receiver design does... view full answer...
The Swagman Trailhead 4 Bike Rack part # S63380 has a shipping weight of 35 lbs which means the actual weight is around 30 lbs. In order to use this bike rack on your 2017 Tesla Model X you will need a trailer hitch and for that I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 76143 if you do not already have one. view full answer...
I checked with our vendors and as of 04/27 the only hitch available for the 2023 Tesla Model X is the Draw-Tite item # 76143. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Tesla with included hardware. It does not have a removable receiver so you wouldn't need to use the magnetic accessory. However, there will still need to be a hole cut in the removable panel for the 2" receiver.
I have linked the installation instructions below.
You will also need a wiring kit but there are none available... view full answer...
From what I'm able to find, the 2018 Tesla Model 3 has a towing capacity of 2000-lbs (likely very different for dual motor versions), but I do recommend confirming that with your owner's manual. With that said, the Stealth Hitch # 391TES317T is a great solution to tow a light weight boat with your 2018 Tesla Model 3.
You'll need to know the total weight of the boat and trailer, as well as the tongue weight of the trailer to determine whether or not it is within the capacity of your Model... view full answer...
If the bolt that comes with the 2" Hitch Ball with Internal Thread part # EI2C-C is too short you'd simply need to take a trip to the hardware store and pick up a new 3/4"-10 bolt in the length you need. For reference, the included bolt is 2" long. view full answer...
You are correct. The tongue weight rating of a hitch and the vertical weight it can carry are the same thing. So the EcoHitch part # 306-X7373 you have installed on your 2020 Tesla Model 3 would easily be able to handle the weight of a 40 lb carrier and 240 lb bike. view full answer...
I have attached a photo of the Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver part # 391TES317 installed on a 2018 Tesla Model 3. As you can see, the hitch pin hole is pretty even with the end of the bumper. Therefore, if you are worried about clearance with folding bike racks or cargo carriers you should not have any issues.
That said, I don't have any measurements at this time as they are not something the manufacturer provides but rather something we take in house when we have an opportunity... view full answer...
When we have listed tongue weights, the tongue weight rating is the weight that a hitch can handle vertically pressing down on the receiver. This is the vertical weight/accessory rate rating you are asking for. The maximum gross trailer weight, on the other hand, is the horizontal weight of anything that is attached to the hitch (pulled from behind).
Since the tongue weight on the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76143 is 750 pounds, it will be able to accommodate a 375-pound... view full answer...
The best wiring harness for your 2023 Tesla Model 3 is going to be the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness item # TK35VR. This harness is custom-fit and plugs into existing wiring in the rear cargo area. This will give you a 4-way connector to control your trailer or accessories lighting functions.

Yes, it would fit! The Curt Roof Mounted Cargo Basket item # C18115 attaches to factory crossbars and is only 37" wide so you will have plenty of room.
