Is Tongue Weight Rating of EcoHItch for 2020 Tesla Model 3 Same As Vertical Weight Limit

Hi. I have a 2020 Tesla model 3 and bought your ecohitch. Rated at 300lb tongue weight. I keep hearing something about vertical weight. Is that the same thing? I was thinking about buying a motorcycle carrier which weighs 40lbs and my scooter which weights 240lbs. Do you see an issue using the ecohitch? Thanks

You are correct. The tongue weight rating of a hitch and the vertical weight it can carry are the same thing. So the EcoHitch part # 306-X7373 you have installed on your 2020 Tesla Model 3 would easily be able to handle the weight of a 40 lb carrier and 240 lb bike.
