The only reason I recommend a Roadmaster wiring kit like # RM-15267 over a plug and play option is because of the other features in the kit. The difference between a clearance light with one wire and one with two is simply that the 1-wire type uses the light's mounting hardware to establish the ground, rather than a separate ground wire. In my experience I have found that the Tekonsha harnesses like the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118569 seem to have less issues than units like the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # 56008.
