Hi Robert,
There unfortunately isn't a list of aftermarket bumpers that are compatible with your Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1139 you have on your 2020 Jeep Wrangler. You could try asking Blue Ox but they likely have only tested it with factory bumpers. If you find a bumper you'd like to install then you'll just need to see if the mounting points for the bumper would interfere with the mounting of the baseplate and then if the arms of the baseplate will clear the bottom of the bumper. view full answer...
Good question, and the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C84ZV that fits your 2022 Subaru WRX will come out underneath the bumper and not through a bumper cut out.
Curt doesn't have a great photo of this installed, so I added a cut out below from the instructions which show the # C84ZV being put on a WRX which shows that it goes under the bumper. view full answer...
Hi Casey,
I actually tested this out myself because the manufacturer stated that you need an 1". I was able to get the Mount-n-Lock HiLoHitch for 4.0" RV Bumpers # MNT47FR installed with just 1/4" - 3/8" gap between the bumper and trailer wall. It's a bit of a hassle piecing it together with limited space but can still be done. If you're placing so that the receiver tube is on top of the bumper then you'll want to slide the back plate up from the bottom first and wiggle the middle brackets... view full answer...
The only available hitches for the 2022 Jeep Renegade have the visible cross tube hanging down underneath like the etrailer # e37AR or Curt # C12142. Unfortunately, there are no aftermarket options that put the receiver through the bumper or have a concealed cross tube. They only hitch that runs through the bumper for this vehicle is the factory hitch which comes with a different bumper and has the hitch and wiring cutout. view full answer...
Hey Timothy,
The Heavy Haul'R bumper mount brackets unfortunately aren't sold separately so the only way to get them would be to go with the full replacement bumper # MNT43VR. view full answer...
It could possibly work but its hard to say exactly what modifications would be needed to use the part # 13942 on a truck that have a standard bumper like you have. view full answer...
Hey Jarvis, the Lippert Tailgate Storage System # LC404069 would install using either the Lippert Tailgate Storage System Mounting Kit # LC432223 or # LC432336 using the included brackets and hardware.
To answer your second question, the tailgate storage system # LC432223 would install under the bumper and # LC432336 would install over the bumper. view full answer...
Yes, a Chevy Silverado bumper from 1999 will fit a 2005 model. For instance, the Westin Perfect Match Series Rear Step Bumper - Chrome Plated Steel # 31006 is a fit for both 1500 and 2500 LD trucks, but is not a fit for 2500 and 3500 HD trucks. You would need to do some custom brackets for the HD models for the 1999 bumper to fit your 2005 as we don't have a fit for a 1999 Heavy Duty truck.
If you have a the 2500 or 3500 model for 2005 you may consider the custom fit # 31013. view full answer...
Sue, for your 1987 Ford F-150 I recommend you check out the Westin Fey Diamondstep Rear Bumper with Custom Installation Kit # 20000-92230.
This bumper is custom fit to your 1987 F-150, is powder coated gloss black, and has a built in hitch with a 8,000 lb towing capacity. view full answer...
No, the # 63000 you referenced is for select Dodge trucks so you would actually want the Westin Perfect Match Series Rear Step Bumper - Chrome Plated Steel # 31013, which is the only confirmed fit we currently have for your 2006 Chevy Silverado 2500. This bumper will come with the necessary mounting hardware included. view full answer...
Hello Phil. Looking at pictures of these 2016 Casita Spirit Travel Trailers online, the spare tire appears to be very close to the top of the rear bumper. In order to use the # E-100 bumper hitch I would want at least 1"-2" between the tire and the bumper. Please do measure to verify that you will have room. As long as there is a bit of pace between the two, the # E-100 will work great.
To answer your second question, yes, the Yakima LongHaul # Y02476 does extend far enough out to clear... view full answer...
Yes, cutting the bumper will allow you to install the Curt # 31604 on your 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 Sport. The bumper is the only difference between this and other models so you will be able to bolt it onto the frame. It won't look pretty, but I'm guessing you aren't worried about the appearance and care more about having the functionality. view full answer...
The distance on the Draw-Tite # 75742 is going to be over 1" so I recommend the Curt # C13119 instead. We measured the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the outer edge of the bumper at approximately 2.25" for the Curt. The distance from the center of the hole to the end of the receiver is 2.472". There does appear to be a little variation between bumper styles but you will be under 1" no matter what with the Curt. view full answer...
The monitoring systems we offer, including the Cub CU62XR you were looking at, would detect the trailer at a slight angle so it wouldn't really be useful in your situation since it would activate too soon and not really prevent you from jackknifing and touching the bumper. These systems also will typically require you to be travelling at 15mph so backing in a space wouldn't really meet these requirements.
The best solution would be to install a camera, like the Furrion Vision S Wireless... view full answer...
We do!
The Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # 65046 will sit just below your front bumper while the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # C31017 requires you to cut out some of the bumper for the installation.
Both work great so it just depends on where you want the receiver located. Cutting into the bumper doesn't sound appealing, but a lot of people prefer that to a lower ground clearance when the receiver is below the bumper. view full answer...
Hey there Jason; for your 1977 Ford F-100 we do have a diamond step chrome rear bumper that fits, so long as you have the standard bed. What you need is the following:
- Westin Fey Diamondstep Rear Bumper - Chrome Plated Steel # 21000-92230
This actually comes with the installation kit so you don't need to purchase anything separately. view full answer...
Hey Francesco, so the 3/32" gap is ok. It is completely normal for there to be a bit of space between the bumper and the Curt # C34ER hitch on a 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe. On some models there can be a slightly larger gap, but as long as you are sure that all of the hardware is torqued to specification, you can rest assured that the hitch is installed in the correct location. view full answer...
That's correct Bud, that's because all of the aftermarket hitches like the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13184 are going to bolt to the frame so the support brackets would not be necessary. view full answer...
Thanks for reaching out, Scott!
The Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BLU74FR on our site is actually the same thing as the Blue Ox part number BX2418 and I like that removable pin style much more than the etrailer Classic Base Plate Kit # e98945 with the fixed pin system so I recommend using the Blue Ox Base Plate # BLU74FR along with the etrailer XHD Tow Bar # e67ZR which includes adapters to fit with this base plate kit.
With that being said, you might need to remove the fascia underneath your... view full answer...
Hey Umesh, thanks for reaching out!
The Westin Fey Surestep Rear Bumper - Silver Powder Coated Steel # 20022 has the brackets spaced out 36-1/4" inside to inside (see attached).
The bracket kit # 92230 that comes in the Bumper and Bracket Kit # 20022-92230 you're looking at has 1-3/8" offsets and it looks like they need to be positioned so they are narrowing in more so it looks like this will fit 33-1/2" vehicle frames. view full answer...
