To determine the height needed for a gooseneck to 5th wheel adapter you'll just need to measure. You'll want to be on level ground and use your trailer's leveling system to ensure that it's fully level and the measure from the ground up to the plate that the king pin is welded to. You'll also need to measure from the ground up to the bed of the truck. The difference in these two measurements is the height needed for the adapter.

Hey Jerry that's kind of hard to say without some dimensions but I can still help. Basically you need to measure from the top of your hitch opening down to the ground and then get from the bottom of the coupler lip on your trailer down to the ground. The difference between the two dimensions is the rise/drop you'd need.

Hey Brian; the answer is likely no, but it depends on the weight of the Vespa. The Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter with 2" or 6" Drop/Rise # RM-077-6 has a 400 lb tongue weight capacity, so the weight of the Vespa and carrier, along with the tongue weight of your flat towed vehicle can only be 400 lbs. No, I am sorry. Your research is correct the swing-away adapters like the item # PVP20B just aren't built strong enough to withstand the extra vibrations and stress caused by being mounted on RV's. Plus they reduce the hitches capacity by 50% leaving you with a minimal amount of capacity to handle the weight of a 4-bike bike rack and the bikes themselves.

Since we are not 100% sure of the serial number on your 2015 Keystone Cougar 279RKSWE I recommend verifying the bolt measurements on the pin box. A 1621 pin box is going to have the 5/8" bolt holes spread 2" vertically and 7-7/8" horizontally on center. If you have something different please let me know otherwise the Gen-Y Hitch 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box # GY58GR is going to be the correct bolt pattern and weight range for your Cougar.

So I know you don't want to, but the only option for a hitch extension for your 2-1/2 inch hitch does reduce the receiver to 2 inches. I hope you're not mad at me, but there unfortunately is no 2-1/2 inch hitch extender that also has a 2-1/2 inch receiver. So if you do change your mind, what you can do is use the extender and a new 2 inch hitch shank:

There for a while Hollywood Racks didn't have the trike adapter but it looks like it has come back. What you can use is the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # HLY84FR. This bike rack has a capacity of 80 lbs per bike and a max tire width of 5".

While the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C55HR is confirmed to fit your 2024 Kia Forte it is only going to have a 1-1/4" receiver opening. And while there is an Adapter # HTAD which will change it over to a 2" receiver opening this does reduce the tongue weight capacity of the receiver by 50% which would only end up as 100lbs for the Curt # C55HR.

The Rhino box definitely is shorter than what most Rver's were hoping for so we get this question all the time. Switching to a MORryde Cushioned pin box designed with a Rhino box bolt pattern unfortunately won't give you extra clearance since they made them with a matching 13.27" length from the king pin to the first set of bolt holes.
