Hey Allen, this is a good question but the good news is that if you were to drastically change the ply rating of your tires it's not going to significantly affect the suspension/wheels of your trailer so you can definitely do so. The ply rating correlates mostly to the weight capacity of the tire.
I believe your tire size is 225/75-15 which the highest ply rating we have in this size is 10 like the part # AM10303. view full answer...

Sorry Frank but we have no standard axles that match the dimensions you are needing. We're a couple of inches off on the hub face for the closest one item # e93GR. The only alternative I have is to offer you an axle-less solution which is a set of Timbren's that attach to the sides of your trailer's frame and offers an independent suspension system.

Personally I wouldn't go with Timbren's for your needs. They're essentially rubber bump stops that prevent your suspension from flexing when weights placed on the rear of your Canyon. The major issue with them is comfortability when you are not towing your trailer. These significantly affect the range of your suspension which can leave you with a stiff rigid feeling in the rear end. Plus if you hit a bump while there's weight on them they tend to bounce.

I wouldn't worry about adding anything to the front. The only reason you would want to add the Coil SumoSprings item # CSS-1125 to the front of your 2018 Crosstrek is if you had a front hitch or weight pushing down directly on your front axle.

A leaf spring being 1-1/2" longer is going to be to much of a difference to work properly for the trailer suspension. While it may bolt up the positioning of the axles will change by quite a bit and may bind up as the suspension travels through its range of movement. Typically I do not like to see more than 1/2" difference in the length of the leaf springs when you replace them if you are unable to find the same size. Hi Gerald; I wasn't able to find anything that corresponds with that axle part number through Karavan. More than likely it is discontinued which is why none of the Karavan parts sites list it with the specs. To find a replacement axle I recommend checking the capacity and measuring the length.

These springs at 50 percent compression have a 2,800 lb weight capacity which should be more than enough to keep your ride level. You are going to have to take some clearance measurements with your 145/R12 Radial Trailer Tire # AM35354 to determine if the larger Kenda Karrier ST175/80R13 Radial Trailer Tire with 13" Black Mod Wheel # AM31990 is going to fit. The 175/80-13 is 2.8" taller and 1.3" wider. For vertical clearance we like to see at least 3" for the suspension to travel so with the height difference you will want to see at least 4.4" with your current tires. While most trailers who use this size equalizer will have a 35" axle spacing it is more important to match the dimensions of the equalizer than the axle spacing. There unfortunately isn't a guide to tell us the part numbers used on your trailer so I'll need you to take a couple of measurements to get you the correct parts. You'll want to start by lifting one side of the trailer by the frame and letting the axles hang. With the wheel off you can measure the length from center to center of the leaf spring eyelets.

If you have standard equalizers with a 5-3/4" horizontal and 2" vertical measurement then the Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit # K71-652-00 would be the correct replacement for you. If you're saying that you already have those and are wanting something else then you can go with the Equa-Flex Cushioned Equalizers # LC279687. Hello again, James. We will need to consider a different approach here because the Timbren Silent Ride Suspension like part # TSR3500S05 cannot be used with torsion axles. In order to use the Silent Ride you would need to completely replace both axles, which kind of defeats the purpose of the Silent Ride system in the first place. What you read is correct. You have a 3,500 lb Lippert axle with an 85" hub face and a 68-1/2" spring center measurement.
