  • Correct Trailer Wiring Harness for 2006 Scion xB
  • The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56030 that you mentioned is the correct custom harness for your 2006 Scion xB. From what I could find, your vehicle's factory wiring system should have the brake and turn signals sent along separate circuits. This Curt harness includes a converter to combine these two circuits so that they're compatible with standard trailer wiring (which has the brake and turn signals sent along the same wire for each side). I'm not quite sure what you mean...

  • Parts Needed to Flat Tow a 2014 Scion xB
  • For flat towing your 2014 Scion xB you will first need to start with a base plate kit. For that the Roadmaster part # 1187-1A is a confirmed fit that would work well. This will provide the connection point for the tow bar. You would not be able to use the tow hooks. In addition to the base plates, you will also need a compatible tow bar, safety cables, lighting, and supplemental braking to flat tow your vehicle. The most popular compatible tow bar is the Falcon 2, # RM-520. For safety...

  • Trailer Hitch and Bike Rack Recommendations for a 2011 Scion xB
  • As long as your 2011 Scion xB is not a Release model, you can use the Curt trailer hitch # 12490. This is a Class II trailer hitch with a 1-1/4 inch receiver. The bike rack you choose will need to fit in the 1-1/4 inch receiver opening. I have included a link to the installation instructions and a link to a video showing a typical installation of the trailer hitch for you. While there are some bike racks that fit on a ball mount, most bike racks actually fit in the receiver opening. For...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch And Cargo Cargo Carrier For 2014 Scion xB
  • It sure looks like you have been doing your homework. The Curt trailer hitch, part # C12490 is the hitch designed to fit your 2014 Scion xB. This is a Class l trailer hitch with a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening. And the note from Curt states that all non-trailer loads - bike racks, cargo carriers and so forth - should be supported with stabilizing straps like part # 18050. Failure to properly support these loads will void your hitch warranty from Curt. This is a simple no-drill installation...

  • Trailer Wiring Harness Recommendation for a 2008 Scion xB
  • The two wiring harnesses you referenced are essentially the same harness made by different manufacturers. Both are confirmed to fit your 2008 Scion xB and both will install in the exact same way. The only difference is the Curt Harness part # 56062 uses a more modern circuit board which has proven to better resist shorting out. Based on that I would recommend it over the part # 118468. I attached an install video that applies for both products for you to check out.

  • Recommended Fairing for Rhino-Rack Vortex RS Roof Rack on 2011 Scion xB
  • For the Rhino-Rack Vortex RS 2500 Roof Rack RRRS232B on your 2011 the 44 inch Fairing # RRRF3 will work perfectly. This will just about span the entire length of the flush-mount crossbars on your Scion xB and their mounting clips will fit nicely between the crossbar mounting feet on the roof. This will do a really nice job of further reducing any wind noise and drag during travel. I have attached a short video demonstration that you can check out as well.

  • Curt T-1 Connector Part # 56062 as Least Costly Option for Trailer Connector on 2009 Scion xB
  • Your 2009 xB requires a powered system, which means that the tail light converter gains its signals from the vehicle tail light circuits, but receives power for the trailer lamps directly from the vehicle battery. The tail light circuits on that vehicle are not rated to handle the additional load of the trailer lights. The T-1 connector part # 56062 is your most economical option.

  • Trailer Hitch and Cargo Carrier Recommendation for 2005 Scion xB
  • The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # C11487 is designed to fit your 2005 Scion xB. This is a Class l hitch and it has a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening. We do have cargo carriers that feature an 1-1/4 inch opening and are compatible with a Class l trailer hitch but MaxxTow does not offer a cargo carrier that will work. I recommend a carrier like part # 63155. This is a Reese carrier and the inside dimensions measure 47 inches long and 20 inches wide with rails. This carrier has a weight...

  • Parts Needed To Flat-Tow a 2009 Scion xB
  • The 2009 Scion xB with a manual transmission is indeed flat-towable. I checked in your owner's manual and when setting up the vehicle for this they say to put the selector lever in neutral and turn the engine switch to the “ACC” position. In order to equip the vehicle for flat towing you will need quite a few parts which I have attached for you below if you are interested: Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar part # RM-520 Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit part # 1187-1A Roadmaster 64"...

  • Hitch and Trailer Wiring Recommendation for 2005 Scion xB
  • For your 2005 Scion xB the hitch I recommend is the Curt # C11487 which has a concealed crosstube for a more concealed look! For trailer wiring the best option is the Curt Wire Harness # C56030 which is very easy to install with plug-in connectors that match your tail light connectors. For a hitch ball you'd need just the part # A-80 and you'd be set.

  • How to use the Swagman Trailhead Bike Rack on a 2014 Scion xB
  • The Swagman Trailhead Bike Rack part # S63380 is a great bike rack that would work well for you on your 2014 Scion xB. All you would need to install is a trailer hitch like the Draw Tite part # 24815 which I would recommend for you. I attached an install video for the hitch and a review video for the rack for you to check out as well. • We can help you with a roof rack for your 2006 Scion xB to allow you to transport your two kayaks. On the linked page you can see all roof rack options for your xB with a bare roof. Please note that these various roof rack systems have differing weight capacities; you will want to be sure to choose one that can handle the combined weight of your two boats plus the chosen kayak carriers you mount on the roof rack. The lowest-cost roof rack with the maximum 165-lb weight capacity is the...

  • Parts Needed to Flat Tow a 2012 Scion xB Behind and RV
  • To flat tow your 2012 Scion xB behind an RV you will need the base plates and tow bar like you mentioned as well as safety cables, lighting, and supplemental braking. For a tow bar compatible with Roadmaster base plates # 1187-1A (with arm height at approximately 13 inches) I recommend the Falcon 2 # RM-520. This tow bar makes hooking up and disconnecting easier when you are not on perfectly level ground or straight. I have linked a video review for you. The video explains how the tow...

  • Availability of Ball Mount with 9 Inch Rise for Homemade Trailer with 1/1/4 Inch Hitch Receiver
  • The 1-1/4 inch shank drawbar that we carry with the highest rise is the Brophy Class II Drawbar 5-1/2 inch Rise or 6 inch Drop, # BM96, which you reference. At this time we do not carry a 1-1/4 inch shank Drawbar with a 9 inch rise. Also on a class I or II trailer hitch you have to use the ball mount specified by the trailer hitch manufacturer or it voids the hitch warranty. The other option is to raise the trailer height. There are a couple of ways to do this. If the trailer uses double-eye...

  • Recommended Base Plates And Flat-Towing Equipment For 2010 Scion xB
  • Since you said you have the Roadmaster Sterling Towbar # RM-576, I recommend the Roadmaster XL Base Plate Kit, part # 1187-1A. This will work with all Roadmaster towbars and quick disconnects. This is designed for your 2010 Scion xB with no foglights. I also recommend the Roadmaster coiled safety cables, part # RM-643. For lighting I recommend the Tow Ready Diode System, part # TR118821. This splices directly into the vehicle wiring and includes the wiring harness, mounting bracket,...

  • Tent Rooftop Rack For 2015 Scion xB
  • Rhino Rack does not make a Pioneer Platform for the 2015 Scion xB. Yakima makes a similar 55" long x 49" wide platform, but the weight limit is 165 pounds, well under your needs. It also requires a fit kit that is not compatible with the Scion roof. Further, you will need to check your owners manual for your vehicles roof weight limit. I suspect it is below well below 165 as well. The only similar thing we offer is the Inno Roof Rack that supports 120 pounds – the most of all the Scion...

  • Lock Option for Swagman XC Bike Rack
  • Using this lock # P1040 on the Swagman XC2 Bike rack, part # S64650, will not secure the bikes. It would only secure the wheel mounts to the rack. If you are wanting to prevent the bikes from theft with that particular bike rack, use a cable lock like part # e98891. Run it through the bike frame and the safety chain loops that are on the hitch.

  • Roof Rack Recommendation for 2009 Scion xB for Carrying Roof Box
  • For your 2009 Scion xB the Inno Aero Bar roof rack part numbers # INXB153-2, # INXS250, and # INK300 would be a great solution. The aero bars are quieter than square bar roof racks and the minimize fuel mileage loss. The Sears X-Cargo Box that you have would work well with this kit.
