  • Towing Mirrors With Heat For A 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 2500
  • The K-Source Custom Extendable Towing Mirror # KS62076GE is the correct replacement for you. The mirror has the telescoping function that makes it easy to see around the sides of your trailer. The power mirror adjustment lets you change your mirror face position with the factory control inside of your vehicle. The driver's side mirror is heated and will clear frost and ice and reduce fogging. The mirrors have a durable plastic housing with a textured black finish, and have a simple,...

  • Bake Controller Recommendation for 2008 GMC W4500
  • The 2008 GMC W4500 would not have a brake controller wiring port as it wasn't initially intended for towing. Since this is a box truck application you'd have to hardwire in a controller after installing a 4-way harness as a base for that. For a 4-way to start you'd need a universal kit part and then convert it to a 7-way with the part # ETBC7.

  • Universal Hitch for a 2002 GMC W4500 Forward
  • I have a solution for you but the Buyers Products Hitch Plate with Receiver Tube - Chevy/GMC item # 3371809065 will not fit your 2002 GMC W4500 Forward. • Recommended 5th Wheel Hitch for a 2007 GMC 5500
  • I have a solution for you but there isn't going to be a custom fit option for your GMC 5500 truck. You will need to have some fabrication done to install any 5th wheel hitch. To match the capacity of your truck I recommend the Reese Low-Profile 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch item # RP30054 you were looking at. This hitch has a 30,000 lbs capacity and with your truck you will be able to pull any 5th wheel trailer on the market. The Reese 5th wheel hitch is built to attach directly to your trucks...

The plate needs to be both welded and bolted on. The hitch will need to be centered above the rear axle and left to right. I have linked the instructions below.

  • Where to Find Brake Light Only Circuit on a 2008 GMC W4500
  • Does your 2008 GMC W4500 have a third brake light (or at least the circuit for a third brake light)? That would be a better option than the regular brake lights. You can check the fuse panel for the CHMSL (center high mount stop light) fuse, if applicable, and tap into it. The issue with using another circuit though is that if anything else is on that same circuit then the brake controller could send voltage back to the trailer brakes when you don't want it to. Another possible option...
