- I checked the vehicle owner's manual and all it says is that it is not recommended to tow a trailer with the 2014 Kia Soul (any model). But it also does not say you can't and there are numerous references to towing throughout the manual. So my interpretation is that you could tow a trailer but how heavy is unclear. The width from center to center of the U-bolt is 2-5/8 inches. The height of the U-bolt is 3-5/32 inches. The amount of thread on each bolt is 2-3/32 inches. The U-bolt diameter is 6 mm or 15/64 inch. I am including a picture of the U-bolt with the dimensions listed.
