I recommend going with the Yakima CoreBar system for your 2020 Hyundai Sonata. This includes the CoreBars # Y00421, Baseline Towers # Y28TR, A Clip Kit # Y06180 and Base Clip Kit # Y06153.
The CoreBar roof rack gives you a nice, sleek looking roof rack that has an aerodynamic design but is also made of steel so it's very durable. I've included a video of us installing this system on an older Sorento. Check it out! view full answer...
The roof rack I recommend that fits your 2016 Hyundai Sonata with a panoramic roof is the Yakima JetStream:
JetStream 50" Crossbars - Black # Y00425
BaseLine Towers - # Y28TR
BaseClip 110 - # Y06110
BaseClip 123 - # Y06123
This gives you a strong and sleek looking roof rack on your Sonata that won't compromise the large glass roof. view full answer...
The only available trailer options for a 2006 Hyundai Sonata are class I, 1-1/4". The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11325 is a great assembled in USA option and what I recommend. If you need to have the 2" opening, you can use the Hitch Adapter 1-1/4" to 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver part # HTAD but keep in mind it will reduce your capacity.
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13152 won't fit as it's for a Kia Sorento. view full answer...
The correct Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chain for your 2012 Hyundai Sonata is the # TC1038 if you are planning on using these as an emergency chain.
Finally, if you are going to be in an area where you will definately need tire chains, the Thule # TH01221097 is a solid choice. These chains have a D-shape links and are corrosion resistant.
The Glacier chains are DOT compliant and Class S rated. I have attached short installation videos on all three choices for you.
When using these chains,... view full answer...
You can still put a roof rack on your 2007 Hyundai Sonata even if you have a sunroof. You just won't want to open the roof at all when you have anything on the rack, and possibly not even with the crossbars installed. The rack itself is going to cause a decent amount of wind noise even if it doesn't have anything on it.
The roof rack for your Sonata that will have less wind noise than others is the Thule system made up of the following parts:
53 inch Thule WingBars # TH711420 (black)... view full answer...
I think the Malone HandiRack Universal Fit Roof Rack - Inflatable - 180 lbs # MPG452 would work great for you. When inflated it sits 4" from your roof, whereas other similar options on the market sit only 3" from the roof and do not provide quite as much clearance as the Malone HandiRack.
I do not see any customer feedback stating that the HandiRack damaged or scratched their vehicle in anyway; this should not happen if the kayak or other cargo is secured properly to the inflatable roof... view full answer...
We recently spoke with Curt and they told us that the hitch # C11402 does fit the plug in hybrid models of the 2016 Hyundai Sonata like what you have so it would fit and work well. view full answer...
I went ahead and just received an answer from Thule (the owners of Sportrack). Unfortunately, the older Thule square crossbars are not compatible with the SportRack Semi-Custom Roof Rack for Naked Roofs # SR1002.
However, if you still want to use your older Thule square crossbars (with the channel slot in the bottom), I recommend the following additional parts:
- Inno Feet for Square Crossbars - Naked Roofs - Black - Qty 4 # INSUT
- Custom Fit Kit for Inno XS200, XS250, and INSU-K5 Roof... view full answer...
We do carry rubber front floor mats that are compatible with your 2011 Hyundai Sonata. I have included a link to all of the available options to the right for you. There are custom and semi-custom options as well as carpet, rubber, and thermoplastic options. view full answer...
The Thule Passage 2 bike rack, # TH910XT, is a fit for the 2012 Hyundai Sonata. I am unaware of any differences in the body between models in the contiguous United States and those sold in Alaska or Canada so there should not be any fit issues with a Juneau model. I have included a link to the instructions and a link to a video of the rack for you.
If you will be carrying womens, childrens, or alternative frame bikes, I recommend using the bike adpater bar # TH982XT for greater ground... view full answer...
Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 24965 will fit the 2016 Hyundai Sonata including hybrids but excluding plug-in models.
I checked with Hyundai and they only say that towing with this vehicle is not recommended and they do not provide a capacity. They don't say you can't tow though.
If you do want to tow then the trailer hitch does not come with the proper ball mount. For a 1-7/8 inch ball use # 19256 and for a 2 inch ball use # 19258. And for trailer wiring use # C56390 for hybrid models or... view full answer...
The Hollywood Racks Express 3-Bike Carrier, part # HRE3 is a great option for your 2006 Hyundai Sonata as long as it does not have a rear spoiler, which may prevent you from successfully installing and aligning the trunk mount. If your model does have a rear spoiler and you would like to stick with the Hollywood Racks brand, I recommend the Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top 3 Bike Carrier, part # HRF2-3 which is engineered to specifically accommodate most spoilers.

The Draw Tite hitch part # 24965 that you referenced does fit the hybrid Sonata models in 2016. This changed in years newer than that but for your 2016 Sonata Hybrid this hitch does fit and work well.
For trailer wiring then I would recommend the Curt kit part # C56390 because it doesn't require any splicing of vehicle wiring. For a ball mount you'd need the part # 3593 and then for hitch balls part # 19258 for a 2 inch hitch ball or part # 19256 for a 1-7/8 inch ball. view full answer...
Yes, I checked with Thule and the Thule Passage 3 Bike Carrier # TH911XT that you referenced is confirmed to fit your 2006 Hyundai Sonata. I attached a review video for this rack for you to check out also.
If you plan on carrying any womens or alternative framed bikes without horizontal top tubes you may also be interested in purchasing a Thule Bike Adapter Bar # TH982XT to provide a horizontal top tube on your bikes to provide an attachment point. Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 24965 is a fit for your 2011 Hyundai Sonata Limited, but it does have a 1-1/4 inch hitch opening. I am sorry, but we do not have 2 inch hitches available for your vehicle.
To wire your vehicle for towing, you would use custom-fit T-One vehicle wiring harness # 118433.
Hitch # 24965 does not include a ball mount. You would also need a hitch ball if you plan on towing a trailer. You would most likely use a hitch ball with a 1-7/8 inch diameter, like part #... view full answer...
The # C59496 powered taillight converter/wiring harness will work with your 2011 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid, but we do offer a custom harness/taillight converter that would be easier to install which is part # HM11143874.
The harness/converter plugs inline between the taillight assemblies and the vehicle taillight harnesses that feed them. You'll need to run one wire to the positive battery terminal.
I've linked to an install video that will walk you through the process.

Like you said, there are trailer hitch receiver fits for a 2013 Hyundai Sonata, but they are all Class I hitches with a 1-1/4 inch receiver and there are no 2 inch hitches available for this vehicle. This can happen a lot of times with sedans or coupes that are not really designed for towing; a lot of times for these vehicles the hitch manufacturers will only make the smaller 1-1/4 inch hitches.
So for a hitch, there are two fits for your 2013 Sonata, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver #... view full answer...
Even though it would fit I can't recommend you use a Class II only bike rack like the Swagman XC2 part # S64650 in a Class I hitch like the Draw Tite # DT74MR. The most similar Class I compatible hitch bike rack I can mention for you is the Malone Runway part # MPG2149.
The XC2 used to be Class I compatible and my Dad actually uses it still in the Class I hitch of his vehicle which is interesting. view full answer...
I have a great solution for you. Unfortunately, I confirmed with Thule that the OutWay # TH45JV will not fit your 2021 Hyundai Sonata. The only options we have for a trunk-mounted solution is the SeaSucker Komodo # 298-BK1910-AB (blue), # 298-BK1910-BK (black), # 298-BK1910-SV (silver), or # 298-BK1910-GO (gold). With the vacuum cups on the Komodo, you will be able to transport a single bike up to 45 pounds. The installation process of the Komodo is the simplest out of any rack we carry... view full answer...
