Yes, the installation procedure you see in the video would be the same for both the 2008 and 2009 model years of the Pontiac Solstice. As long as your vehicle is not a GXP model, you would be able to use the hitch # 11119 you referenced.
To install the # 11119 CURT trailer hitch on your vehicle, you will first fish wire the included spacers and bolts through the existing holes on your vehicle frame. Then, you will place the passenger side attachment bracket over the exhaust with the driver's... view full answer...
The BTR E-Z Lube Spindle for 2,000-lb Trailer Axles part # TRU44FR will work with the Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 2,000-lb E-Z Lube Axles part # AKIHUB-440-2-EZ-2K and has a built-in grease zerk for easy lubrication. view full answer...
While we do carry a harness that works with your 2008 Pontiac Solstice, we do not carry a plug-and-play option. For the best option, I recommend using the Tekonsha ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness # 119250KIT. This kit pulls power straight from the battery so it will not interfere with the CANBUS or factory setup. view full answer...
From your purchase records I see that you have purchased the Draw-Tite Sportframe Class I Trailer Hitch 24833 is designed to fit your 2007 Pontiac Solstice and is no longer available. The trailer hitch has a Class I tongue weight rating of 200 pounds.
Since Pontiac determined that your vehicle is not designed to tow a trailer, there is no stated maximum tongue weight capacity for your Solstice in the owner's manual and any weight carried on the hitch will be carried at your own risk.... view full answer...
Since the shank of the ball mount part # C45015 is solid you'd have to go with a standard hitch lock like the part # TR63254 which will work well.
Then for an anti-rattle device you'd want a universal kit like the part # RM-061-125. view full answer...
For a 2 inch ball to use with the draw bar part # 3593 you would want the part # 19258. For the part # C45025 you would then want the part # C40018.
Both balls have 3/4 inch diameter shanks. view full answer...
I have a way for you to add some cargo carrying capacity to your 2009 Pontiac Solstice but unfortunately there aren't any custom fit hitches made for your vehicle so for a hitch you'd have to have something fabricated for your vehicle.
An alternative would be using a roof rack and rooftop carrier provided you have a hard top for your vehicle. For a roof rack we have the SeaSucker Monkey Bars Roof Rack # 298-SX6000B which installs using powerful vacuum cups. You can then mount a rooftop... view full answer...
I really like the Saris SuperClamp EX part # SA4025F. This is a lightweight platform rack (which is normally an unheard of combo). That means it'll be easy to install and remove from your vehicle since it's light, but also it'll be very easy to load bikes on since it's a platform rack.
This rack also only touches bikes at the tire so it protects any damage to delicate frame materials or finishes.
If you wanted something less expensive I have another option for you to consider.
