would the 2008 solstice be the same as the 2009 you show on the video. Also do you have a wireing harness for the pontiac solstice.

Yes, the installation procedure you see in the video would be the same for both the 2008 and 2009 model years of the Pontiac Solstice. As long as your vehicle is not a GXP model, you would be able to use the hitch # 11119 you referenced.

To install the # 11119 CURT trailer hitch on your vehicle, you will first fish wire the included spacers and bolts through the existing holes on your vehicle frame. Then, you will place the passenger side attachment bracket over the exhaust with the driver's side pointing straight back from the rear of the vehicle. Once you have the passenger side over the exhaust, you will simply rotate the hitch clockwise until you can line up all the bolt holes with the hardware. After that, you are ready to install the nuts and torque everything down.

To wire the Solstice for towing, you will need to hard wire using a 4-Way plug like part # 18252. You will need to reach the back side of your tail light assemblies, where the wires are running out to the rest of the vehicle. Use the included circuit tester to find out which wire carries each function, while a helper in the front of the vehicle runs through them for you. For example, if the brake pedal is pressed up front and you test a wire that gets power at the same time, you would know this is the brake light wire for that side of the vehicle.
The wire colors on the 4-Way harness are listed below.

White: Ground wire.
Brown: Tail lights.
Green: Right turn and brake.
Yellow: Left turn and brake.
