When we have installed trailer hitch # 36513 on Toyota Sienna vans the same generation as yours we measured approximately 11 inches from level ground to the TOP of the receiver opening. To the bottom of the receiver that would be approximately 9-1/2 inches.
On a 2 inch Class III hitch like # C13105, the measurement to the top of the tube is 10-1/4 inches and to the bottom of the tube it is 8 inches. The smaller Class II hitches like # 36513 will give you a little more clearance but have... view full answer...

You're right, it doesn't make much sense, so I reached out to Thule and they confirmed the Evo Raised Rail Feet # TH710401 do not fit the 2017 Toyota Sienna. Then I asked why that might be since they are raised rails and they were unable to provide a specific reason behind it. So while I know it sucks, I can't tell you that it's okay to use your current WingBar crossbars since Thule says it won't work.
If you want a rack on your '17 Sienna, maybe you can sell those crossbars and go with... view full answer...

I spoke to a tech over at Curt and they confirmed the ball platform on their # C24WR is right at an inch thick. If you were looking for a ball to go with this, the Brophy # EH68C-C will be an 8,000 pound 2 inch ball option, and the Curt # C40007 will be a 10,000 pound 2 5/16 inch ball option. view full answer...

A smaller 1-1/4-inch Class II hitch on your 2008 Toyota Sienna will have a slightly greater height above ground than a 2-inch Class III type. For example, when we installed hitch # 36513 on a 2007 Sienna we found that the top of the receiver tube was 11-inches above ground. When we installed 2-inch Class III hitch # C13105 the top of the tube was 10-1/4-inches above ground. Please refer to the linked videos if you like.

Although different hitches for a given model year of vehicle can vary a bit, the orientation of the receiver will usually be the same. When installed, the Curt Class II hitch part # 12212 will measure approximately 11 inches from the top of the receiver tube to the ground. Due to the smaller receiver, you will gain around 1/2 an inch more clearance versus the Class III. I attached installation instructions for you to check out also.

In order to determine if the Thule Force XT # TH6358B will interfere with the rear hatch opening on your 2017 Toyota Sienna, you will just need to take a quick measurement.
With the front crossbar all the way up, measure from there to the seam where roof and rear hatch meet. If you have at least 51-1/8" from the front cross bar to the the hatch, you would be able to open the Force XT without interference. You can refer to the chart I've added to find the distances needed for each Thule... view full answer...
Using a suspension enhancement system like the AirLift 1000 Air Helper Springs, part # AL60732 will not increase the load-carrying or tongue weight capacity of your 2015 Sienna. These are designed to help cushion heavy loads and help keep the vehicle level.
This air pressure in this system can be adjusted between 5 psi and 35 psi. This system will give you up to 1,000-lbs of support and help prolong the suspension of your Sienna.

It is not possible to use a weight distribution (WD) system along with a tow dolly such as the Roadmaster # RM-2050-1. In cases like yours where the various components in a towing system (the Class A motor home and the hitch installed on it) have different weight capacities, then the lower-rated item determines the overall limit. Even though your MH can handle the towed weight of the Sienna and the tow dolly, the 3500-lb-rated hitch simply cannot. A weight distribution system will not help... view full answer...
The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT55MR you were looking at for your 2021 Toyota Sienna does not have a concealed crosstube as you can see from the included installation photo.
Both the trailer hitch receivers available for your Sienna, the # DT55MR and # C22UR, are exposed hitches meaning the receiver and crosstube is visible so I recommend going with the # DT55MR due to it having the higher tongue weight rating of 675lbs and a higher trailer weight rating of 4500lbs.

So the Curt Rockerballs like the # C94CR sit about 1-1/2 inches taller than standard balls. And most rise/drop calculations are measured at the base of the ball and not the top so that changes the 16 inch height to be right around 14 inches for how our ball mounts are organized/measured. So then subtract the 1-1/2 inches of the Rockerball puts the height instead at 11-1/2 inches which is right at the 11 inches of your hitch opening. So that would mean you'd want a rise of right at 1/2 inch... view full answer...
