With the Curt Triflex part # C24VV and the Curt Adapter part # C51522 you will have all you need to successfully install your controller.
I have linked a video for you showing the operation of the controller. Check it out to familiarize yourself with it. view full answer...
If you don't already have a 4-Way on your 2015 Audi Q7 then I recommend installing the Curt # C59236. Once you have a 4-Way for the basic trailer light wiring you then need to install the Universal Wiring Kit # ETBC7. This comes with all of the wiring and connectors that you need so that you have fully functioning 4-Way and 7-Way connectors.
The ETBC7 kit comes with a mounting bracket that will match up perfectly with the mounting bracket on your Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 75950.

It is correct that the Reese Friction Sway Control Kit # 83660 does need to be disengaged when backing up to avoid damaging the product.
There is another sway control option that doesn't use the friction bar or a weight distribution system. This is the Tuson Electronic Sway Control System # 335TSC-1000 and it helps control your sway by activating your trailer brakes to counteract any sway that begins to happen. This is compatible with trailers that have 1 - 4 axles and I have attached... view full answer...
It sounds like you're trying to install a standard 4-pole on your vehicle. To add a 4-pole to the factory 7-way on your 2013 Audi Q7, you can use the Hopkins Plug-In Simple Wiring Harness, part # 41155. This will connect into your 7-way and give you the 4-pole you need.
I've linked to a video installation of this harness on a 2018 Dodge Durango so you can see how it works.
However, if you have a 4-way round on your trailer, then you can use two adapters to get it to hook up to your 7-way... view full answer...
When installing a trailer hitch on your 2022 Audi Q7, I recommend The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2 inch # C13277. This hitch has a bolt-on installation with no welding or cutting required. It has a gloss black powder coat finish which is over a protective base coat that offers superior rust resistance. The hitch has a concealed cross tube which gives it the factory trailer hitch look.

If your axle does indeed have a 3,500 pound weight capacity then the etrailer.com Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K for E-Z Lube Axles or # AKHD-545-35-K for standard axles should work great.
These have an inner bearing # L68149 and outer bearing # L44649, which you can verify match your existing assembly by checking the numbers stamped onto the bearings. These work with 10 inch brake assemblies. These hub and drum assemblies also have a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern. If... view full answer...
We do sell some wiring harness options for your 2019 Audi Q7 and we can get you to a 7-Way round style that works with your RV plug.
To start off we have the # C59236 which splices into your OEM wiring or the ZCI Wiring # 119250KIT which clamps around your OEM wiring and senses when your light functions activate so you can avoid splicing into your OEM wiring. For a fully-functioning 7-Way you just need to add the Universal Wiring Kit # ETBC7.
This pulls the basic lighting functions from... view full answer...
I went ahead and sent the attached images you have of your older Thule Ski carrier to my tech at Thule. Unfortunately, from the pictures alone, he could not identify the specific rack. However, he did say that the Mounting Kit for Thule Flat Top Rooftop Ski and Snowboard Racks # 7533998 works for most older Thule ski/snowboard carriers when trying to apply to factory or aftermarket crossbars. It is important to note that these mounting clamps will only fit crossbars up to 3-3/4 inches wide.... view full answer...
Yes, you will need an aftermarket trailer brake controller to equip your Audi Q7 for towing a trailer with brakes. The actual components included in an OEM "tow package" will vary by brand and model but the trailer brake controller itself is not included among them.
If your Q7 has a factory 7-way connector similar to the one shown in the linked photo you have the option for an exceptionally easy brake controller installation.

If the Q7 has a factory 7-way socket you can simply plug in the Curt Echo brake controller # C51180, pair it to your smart phone and you're done. The Echo installs in your trailer connector so there is no bulky box to get in your way inside the car. Please check out the included video.
But if you have no wiring you'll need to install a basic 4-pole harness and an upgrade kit to convert that wiring to the 7-way format required for the Curt Echo.

I cannot speak for Audi in terms of any progress they've made with the compatibility of their OEM wiring with LED-equipped trailers, but we do offer the Tow Ready adapter # C35FR you referenced. This will carry your lighting and reverse lockout signals in the 5-pole format. If this does not work for you the other option is to wire in load resistors in front of each LED light on the trailer.
Load resistors like # DI34ZR can mimic the electrical characteristics of standard power-hungry... view full answer...
Based on your information, I believe your best option is to add a solenoid like the Battery Isolation Solenoid, Item # PK5231201. This solenoid will shut off the 12-volt feed from your vehicle battery to the 12-volt accessories/auxiliary battery on your trailer when the ignition is turned off. This auxiliary power wire will connect to the 12-volt power pin on a 7-Way connector (see attached picture).

It sounds like you're looking for a trailer wiring harness for your 2017 Audi Q7.
If the Audi came with the factory tow package but doesn't have the connector you can use the Curt # C55774 which will provide you with a 4-way and 7-way connector. This harness plugs into the tow package wiring harness which will be under the rear of the vehicle.
If you don't have the tow package I recommend the ZCI Harness # 119250KIT. This installs by clamping to the Audi's existing wiring without splicing... view full answer...
Since U-Haul trailers only require the basic trailer light functions you need the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C59236 for your 2017 Audi Q7.
I prefer the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness # 119250KIT vehicles that may have more complicated electrical like your Audi but this option does come at a higher price-point. This is due to the clamps it uses to "sense" when to send power back to your trailer lights as opposed to having to actually... view full answer...
