  • Installation of Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch on 2019 Hyundai Ioniq
  • I think I can help you but we don't have an install video of the Draw-Tite hitch, part # 24963, being installed on to a 2019 Hyundai Ioniq. Check out the video I did link. It's for the Curt hitch, part # C11486, that fits the same model years as the Draw-Tite and in basically the same fashion. The trimming is different between the two as are the bolt specs but the process is similar. You also need to lower the exhaust with the Draw-Tite.

  • How to Install Yakima FullBack Bike Rack on 2019 Hyundai Ioniq
  • To install the Yakima FullBack Bike Rack, part # Y02634 or # Y02633, you need to use the anchor mode to accommodate the glass door/trunk on your 2019 Hyundai Ioniq. These instructions are a few pages long and I've linked the complete instructions for you to check out. I have attached a photo of what the finished installation looks like. • Trailer Wiring Harness Installation for 2017 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid Blue
  • The Curt # C56233 T-Connector you'd asked about is indeed a fit for your 2017 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid Blue model. The installation is pretty straightforward. The converter box plugs inline at the connection points between the driver's and passenger taillight wiring harness and the taillight assemblies, and one ground wire needs to be connected to the vehicle body. You'll also need to run one wire through an existing grommet (usually found under the spare tire) under the vehicle to the...

  • 2017 Hyundai Ionic Sealed Battery Trailer Wiring 12V Power Connection
  • I reached out to my contact at Curt and for your 2017 Hyundai Ioniq using wiring harness # C56381, you will connect that 12V power wire for the harness to the lithium ion starter battery under the back seat on driver's side. It is a little difficult to discern because it is part of the same housing as the larger battery, but this is a separate charging battery specifically for the starter but this is where you will connect your harness.

  • How Does Hooks of Yakima Fullback Attach to Rear of 2018 Hyundai Ioniq
  • You bring up a great point with the rear glass of your 2018 Hyundai Ioniq and how it would affect the install of the Yakima Fullback part # Y02634 that you referenced which is why Yakima states that the hooks need to be put in anchor mode which is a way to avoid the hooks from stressing the glass. This basically flips the hooks around and the glass latches over the entire hook instead. I attached a picture as well install instructions for you to check out as well.

  • How Straps of Yakima FullBack Trunk Mount Bike Rack Install on 2019 Hyundai Ioniq
  • Are the mounting hooks attached to the glass? Kind of. The hooks will actually be ran inside the vehicle as shown in the diagram I've provided for you. The procedure is explained in more detail in the installation instructions beginning on pages # 4, 5 and 6 of the installation instructions. As long as the rack is installed per the instructions, and the weight of the bikes do not exceed 30 lbs apiece (the capacity is reduced by 5 lbs per bike, because the hooks are used in anchor mode)...

  • Power Wire Routing From Battery to Vehicle Trailer Wiring Harness
  • The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56381 requires power directly from the battery. You will need to run that power wire away from hot or moving parts up to your vehicle battery. To do so, there are 3 common methods. I've attached an article to assist with the routing of that power wire with information to help with each one for you to determine the best fit for your vehicle.
