I would recommend you orientate the Thule Pulse Cargo Box # TH613 as far to the back of the vehicle as you can when installing it on your roof if you are looking for the best aerodynamics. This will reduce air from getting underneath the front of the box while at highway speeds.

To get the clip of the included pin and clip of the Curt Hitch part # C11124 you will need to basically just need to try various angles of the pin while trying to insert the clip so that you can eventually find the right angle/orientation of the clip so that it will insert all the way into the pin.
