To install your Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4" # C11124 which is a confirmed fit for your 2013 Kia Forte Hatchback, the bolts sometimes are hindered by debris in the frame welded nuts. The weldnuts most likely need cleaning, so I recommend using some spray lubricant like UltraLube Biobased Spray Lubricant and Penetrant - 12-oz Aerosol with Straw to loosen up any debris and then use a nylon brush like # 814113 to remove debris without damaging the threads. If a nylon brush doesn't do it, you can use a brass or bronze bristle brush, but be careful not to damage the threads if you use a metal brush. I've attached an article to help.
