There were no appreciable changes to the rear of the Crosstrek for the 2020 model year, so the hitch would appear the same as shown on the 2019. I have added some photos of how the etrailer.com Trailer Hitch # E98912 will look when installed on a 2019 Subaru Crosstrek. Though these are photos of the Curt Trailer Hitch # C13382, the two hitches are the same except for the etrailer hitch has a matte black finish compared to the gloss black finish of the Curt hitch, which basically just means the etrailer hitch has a bit more of a rugged look and isn't quite as prone to scratches.

While per the manufacturer, you should not attempt to flat tow a Toyota Tacoma, anything can be made to flat tow if you make enough changes. This is not the norm, and actually only very small percentage of people will go to this much trouble and expense to make a vehicle able to be flat towed, some do.

When installed on a 2021 Subaru Crosstrek, the Draw-Tite # 76209 will be fully visible from the rear of the vehicle, while the only visible part of the Curt # C13382 will be the receiver tube and the safety chain loops. Take a look at the provided photo which shows a side by side view.

The Thule One-Key System Lock Cylinders part # TH450600 come with a random key number. It cannot be ordered with a specific key number. Therefore, you can either replace all the locks or replace them individually using the Replacement Lock Cylinder for Thule Racks and Carriers - N150 part # THLOCKN150 and Replacement Key for Thule Racks and Carriers - N150 part # THKEYN150. When enlarging to holes in a frame or even on a hitch like the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13382 we'll either spray some clear or black paint over the exposed metal or use a clear or black paint marker to help prevent rust and corrosion.

Taking the spacer and the carriage bolt out will take some finesse. It will be the exact same way you installed the hitch # C13382, just in reverse. Having a magnet tool may help as well. Pretty much what you will have to do is get the spacer and the carriage bolt out in two separate pieces. If need be, you could make the hole a little bit wider to help get the spacer out.

With the bolt in question being 5/8-11 by 4 inches long, we do not have a threaded locking pin available. However, you could drill a 1/4" hole in the threaded end of the bolt and then use the Tow Ready Trailer Coupler Lock # 3008 in the drilled hole.
