We had the chance to install the Curt Hitch # C11065 on a 2012 C70 and we were able to determine that from top of the hitch opening to the ground it measured 9-1/2 inches. So if you subtract 2 inches for the distance from the top of the hitch opening to the bottom of the hitch you end up with 7-1/2 inches of total ground clearance. view full answer...
When we installed the Curt Trailer Hitch # C11065 on a 2012 Volvo C70 we found the distance from the hitch pin hole to the bumper was 9 inches.
That's a pretty good distance, and this is also a Class I hitch (which is all that is available for your C70) so you do need a Class I compatible bike rack as well, the Swagman Chinook 2-Bike Rack # S64683.

The only hitch available for a 2011 Volvo C70 convertible is the Curt Trailer Hitch item # C11065. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Volvo with included hardware. This is a class I hitch with a 1-1/4" receiver it has a 200 lbs maximum tongue weight and a 2,000 lbs towing capacity.
