  • Replacement Trailer Wiring Harness Recommendation for 2008 Chrysler Aspen
  • Sounds like you have a shorted out trailer taillight converter. Any time we see one of the pins of a connector show voltage all of the time that indicates that box has shorted out most likely due to a short on the trailers wiring. Curt harnesses like the one you have part # C55597 are notoriously easier to short out than other brands. So what I would recommend you do is find and fix any short on your trailer's wiring and then install a # 118390 in place of it and you'll be good to go.

  • What is the Best Trailer Brake Controller for a 2007 Chrysler Aspen
  • I would recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P2, # 90885. It is easy to setup and easy to adjust when loads change. Brake controllers are not vehicle specific so any of the brake controllers you mentioned will do a good job. If you like the P2, then you will want to use the wiring adapter # 3020-P, that is confirmed as a fit for your Aspen. I am sure you will not be disappointed.

  • The Hopkins Agility Trailer Brake Controller # HM47294 will use the wiring adapter # HM47755 if you have the factory 7-way trailer connector. If you do not have the factory connector, then you will need the brake controller wiring kit # ETBC7 along with the 4-way wiring harness # HM42245. • Recommended Transmission Cooler for a 2007 Chrysler Aspen 5.7 Liter Hemi V-8
  • The transmission cooler # D13102 you referenced is recommended for compact cars although you can still use it. Checking the measurements of the potential area is key. I recommend you measure the space you have for installing a transmission cooler to gauge which cooler will fit best. Select the correct transmission cooler by determining where there is enough space to mount it. The best three positions to mount the transmission cooler in order. At Position A, where the transmission cooler...

  • Forest River LED Trailer Light Replacements
  • For an LED version of the light you sent in a picture of you'd want the part # STL22RB with the grommet part # A70GB. I also attached an install video for this for you to check out as well. Since I am not totally sure what the other marker lights are we do have the LED part # MCL31RB which is 4 inch by 2 inch. For a standard roof vent to fit what you have currently we have the Ventline Ventadome kit part # V2094SP-30 which has a 12 volt fan in it. For interior lighting we have the...

  • Recommended Replacement for Duo Therm 6300035.321 RV AC Unit
  • To replace the Duo Therm AC unit on your 2006 Holiday Rambler Ambassador I recommend the Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System - Manual - 15,000 Btu - White # FR92PR. The # FR92PR AC unit is a perfect replacement for your older Duo Therm unit and since the air distribution box has a built-in thermostat, it's compatible with both ducted and non-ducted systems and no complicated wiring is required. It fits the same opening (14" square) and uses the same 110v. wiring of any standard...

  • Measuring for a Ball Mount with the Right Rise or Drop for a 2008 Chrysler Aspen
  • Ideally you would measure for the amount of drop needed in a ball mount with the 2008 Chrysler Aspen loaded because it will be closer to the actual towing situation. Since the vehicle is sagging with gear loaded in it, it is going to sag even more then the trailer is coupled because of the tongue weight of the trailer. What I recommend is weight distribution so that the vehicle does not sag and will provide you will better braking, steering, and visibility. To choose a weight distribution...

  • Roof Rack and Folding Kayak Carrier Recommendation for 2008 Chrysler Aspen
  • The Yakima JayLow part # Y04073 would be a great option for a kayak carrier that is high quality and can fold down when not needed like you said you were intersted in. Then for a quality roof rack that doesn't cost as much as some of the high end racks we have the Rhino Rack roof rack part numbers # RRVA126B-2 and # RRSX100 which is a confirmed fit. I really like the Rhino Rack roof racks as they are on par with the other brand manufacturers yet don't cost quite as much.

  • Electric Radiator Fan Recommendations for a 2008 Chrysler Aspen with 5.7L Engine
  • Is the fan set up currently on your 2008 Chrysler Aspen belt driven? In any event you will need to determine if it is pushing air or pulling air. The fans that you have referenced, # D16927, and # D16919 are for puller applications only. What I recommend is going with the most CFM that you can in a fan or fans that will fit in the space provided. You do not always have to remove the factory set up in order to install an electric fan. You just have to make sure that the aftermarket fan is...

  • Which Hitch, Trailer Wiring and Ball Mount are Recommended for a 2008 Chrysler Aspen
  • I think the best and easiest to install hitch would be part # 13296 from Curt. It has a 600 pound tongue weight and 6,000 pound gross towing weight capacity. The wiring kit for the Aspen is part # 118390. It will plug in between your vehicle wiring and the tail lights to grab all the right signals. You will neeed to run a single power wire up to the battery on the Aspen to provide an isolated power source. This allows more lights to be used on the trailer as well as preventing damage to...

  • High-Rated Transmission Cooler Recommendation for a 2007 Chrysler Aspen
  • You might need a more efficient transmission cooler for optimum cooling on your 2007 Chrysler Aspen. Stacked plate coolers are the most efficient, such as # D52506. If the cooler you have now is an aftermarket external cooler then you likely won't need additional parts to run the lines to and from it but you will need hose barb fittings that can mate up with the cooler, # D98200. Or you could get a kit, # D13403, which has a smaller core but it is still Class V rated.

  • The trailer jack would hold the front of the trailer and then the two stands of the 4,000 lb Floor Jack with Stands # PTW1605 would hold the other end of the trailer and keep it stable from left to right. You would not need a second set of stands.

  • How to Install a 7-Way on a 2007 Chrysler Aspen
  • Since your 2007 Chrysler Aspen does not have trailer wiring currently you are going to need to first start with a 4-way. For that you would want the part # 118390. This is a plug and play option designed to fit your vehicle. Check out the install video for more info. Now if your trailer does not have brakes all you would need is the part # 37185 as an adapter to convert the 4-way to a 7-way. If you do have trailer brakes you would need the # ETBC7 instead of the # 37185 and a brake controller....
