The transmission cooler # D13102 you referenced is recommended for compact cars although you can still use it. Checking the measurements of the potential area is key.
I recommend you measure the space you have for installing a transmission cooler to gauge which cooler will fit best. Select the correct transmission cooler by determining where there is enough space to mount it. The best three positions to mount the transmission cooler in order. At Position A, where the transmission cooler is 100% efficient, mount the cooler between your vehicle's grille and the AC condenser core. Position B, between the air conditioning condenser and radiator, is 75% efficient while Position C, between the radiator and fan, is only 60% efficient. Transmission coolers are more efficient when they receive maximum air flow. See the diagram to the right.
Since you will be towing a trailer at approximately 13,000 pounds I would go with a Class-III or IV transmission cooler. I have included a link to the Class III and IV transmission coolers we currently offer on a 2007 Dodge Durango 5.7 liter Hemi. You will see cooler measurements (wide, tall and deep) to the left of that page, and after you figure the best location (per diagram to the right) then measure that area to determine the best transmission cooler for your 2007 Chrysler Aspen.
The 2007 Chrysler Aspen was based on the Dodge Durango SUV. The transmission cooler kits are designed to be mounted flush against either the radiator or the AC condenser core. For maximum cooling ability, the heat exchanger must receive the most airflow possible.
I have included a couple FAQ's for you as well.
