How to Install a 7-Way on a 2007 Chrysler Aspen
Question:
I bought a hitch for 2007 Chrysler Aspen along with a Pollak 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket w/ Mounting Bracket - Vehicle End part HM40975 and realized it didnt have factory OEM plug in. I was thinking of ordering the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part 118390 do get hitch wiring available for the connector I bought but I would need an adapter for 4-pole to 7 pole OEM wiring to be able to do it. Do you have that or a different wiring harness setup with OEM end that I could plug into the connector I already bought?

Since your 2007 Chrysler Aspen does not have trailer wiring currently you are going to need to first start with a 4-way. For that you would want the part # 118390. This is a plug and play option designed to fit your vehicle. Check out the install video for more info.
Now if your trailer does not have brakes all you would need is the part # 37185 as an adapter to convert the 4-way to a 7-way.
If you do have trailer brakes you would need the # ETBC7 instead of the # 37185 and a brake controller. This kit comes with everything needed to wire up the 7-way and install a brake controller.
For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup.
