I have included a link to the installation instructions for this hitch and a link to a video showing a typical installation for you. The hitch comes with a ball mount, hitch pin, and clip. For a ball, use # 19256 (1-7/8... view full answer...
We have many 2-bike trunk mount carriers that will fit your man's 2004 Saab 9-3 convertible. For a solid carrier that is well made and won't break the bank I recommend the Thule Passage # TH910XT. It secures to the vehicle using 6 straps and it includes anti-sway cradles.
If you want something that is really going to blow him away I recommend the OutWay # TH45JV. This is by far the best trunk mount bike carrier I have used. It attaches to the vehicle using only 2 rubber coated straps so... view full answer...
We actually only have a hitch for the 2003 Saab 9-3 between the two vehicles you mentioned with the part # C11326. Hopefully your version of the Thule T2 Pro is the one for the 1-1/4 inch size like part # TH23JV since there isn't a 2 inch hitch that fits your vehicle. view full answer...

The Thule Helium Aero, # TH9042PRO, features built-in anti-rattle and anti-sway cradles with road dampening technology so once properly installed and loaded it will be on par in terms of stability with platform style racks.
Since the bike rack is made of aluminum and automotive grade plastics corrosion will not be nearly as much of an issue as it is with steel racks. Some of the internal components may be susceptible though. I recommend hosing off the rack with fresh water before storing... view full answer...
I have a similar bike rack to the Swagman Semi 2.0 part # S64686 that you referenced that is Class I compatible but you are correct this only fits Class II and up hitches. The Thule T2 Pro XTR part # TH23JV is what the Semi was designed after and is Class I compatible and by many is considered a gold standard for bike racks. It's also priced nearly identical. This would be the best choice for sure. I attached a review video for this rack for you to check out as well. view full answer...
Based on my research, the 2001 Saab is not designed to be flat towed behind an RV or motorhome. Doing this may cause damage to the vehicle.
The only recommended way to tow your 2001 Saab 9-3 is with a Tow Dolly like the Roadmaster # RM-2050-1. view full answer...
Yes, the Curt hitch part # C11326 is a fit for your 2007 Saab 9.3 convertible and would be a great option. It's a Class I hitch with a 1-1/4 inch opening. I attached an install video for the hitch for you to check out as well.

For your 2007 Saab 9-3 with factory rails, I recommend the Evo Raised Rail Feet for Thule Crossbars - Factory Raised Rails - Qty 4 # TH710401 which is compatible with the bars you mentioned, that are often simply referred to as square bars even though they are rectangular by measurement. I also recommend the Thule One-Key System Lock Cylinders - Qty 4 # TH450400 for increased security.
The manufacturer suggests using 50 inch bars which have been discontinued with this system. You can... view full answer...
The only trailer hitch option for a 2006 Saab 9-3 Convertible is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11326 so long as you don't have the SportCombi package or dual exhaust. If you do have both a convertible with SportCombi package or convertible with dual exhaust then there are no trailer hitch options available unfortunately.
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver has a 1-1/4" receiver tube opening and is a bolt-on fit with no drilling required. The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver will work... view full answer...
The Curt Hitch part # C11326 is listed as a fit for your 2003 Saab 9-3 convertible unless it is the SportCombi model or unless it has dual exhaust.
For trailer wiring you would the part # C59496.
For a ball mount part # 36053 and then for a 2 inch ball # 19258 or 1-7/8 inch ball # 19256. view full answer...
According to our friends at Curt, for the 2007 Saab 9-3 4dr Sedan, you would use the Class I Receiver Hitch part # 11326. The # C11140 hitch will only fit the SportCombi (wagon) models.
If you will be occasionally transporting your bikes for short distances, the Rhode Gear # RG8015220 rack would be a fine choice. However, the lack of anti-sway cradles and the rather insubstantial hook and loop fasteners that hold the bikes into the cradles would make this rack unsuitable for frequent use... view full answer...
The Curt Hitch part # C11140 would be the correct hitch for your 2008 Saab 9-3 with dual exhaust. I checked with Curt to confirm this.

We have several trunk-mount bike racks that are designed to fit your 2003 Saab 9-3 convertible.
One of the best bike racks I recommend is the Thule OutWay 2 Bike Rack, part # T45JV. This bike rack has rubber-coated straps that let you raise your trunk or hatch without removing it from your vehicle. The cable lock with the One Key System secures the bikes to the rack helping deter theft. This rack folds flat when not being used for easy storage. It has a capacity of 2 bikes and a total... view full answer...
Thule doesn't offer replacement parts for their fit kits like the part # THKIT3065 which is the correct kit to use on your 2008 Saab 9-3 with the bars # TH7601B-TH7602B.
The reason they give us is that they get the kits directly from Sweden pre-assembled so they can't split them up for replacement parts. So you'd have to order a new fit kit then.
The part you mentioned is actually for a bike rack so it wouldn't work at all. view full answer...
