To lower the exhaust on a vehicle when installing a hitch is not difficult if done correctly. The main thing is to lube the rubber hangars with WD-40 and that will allow the exhaust to be removed easily from the rubber hangars. I am including a couple of links to videos that will show you how we lower the exhaust in our installation facility.
I am also including a link to the installation instructions on the Curt trailer hitch for your vehicle. view full answer...
We do offer several adapters for a 5 pin flat to a 7-way blade vehicle connection. If your van connection point is a 7-blade configuration then you can use the Optronics # A75TB. This is an adapter that will plug into a vehicle 7-way blade style connector and will attach to your 5-pin flat boat trailer wiring connector.
If your van has a 7-way round pin vehicle connection pin, unfortunately we do not offer an adapter for that configuration. However, there is an option, and I recommend... view full answer...

The installation instructions for the Curt Trailer Hitch, # C11073, indicate that no modification of the vehicle rear bumper or rear fascia is required for installation of the hitch.
Vapor canister will need to be removed and reattached for hitch installation. There is a possibility that the carbon canister hose may contact the hitch bracket. If this occurs you will need to use pliers to bend the bracket and rotate the hose out of the way. Also, the exhaust must be temporarily lowered... view full answer...
The SportRack Semi-Custom Roof Rack # SR1010 will work straight-up without any adapters on your 2012 Mazda 2 hatchback and allow you to carry a canoe, so long as you remain under its 130 lb weight capacity.
There are canoe carriers you can use that work as loadstops; foam blocks are an option as well but do not offer the same type of security which is why I strongly recommend the Malone BigFoot Pro Canoe Carrier with Tie-Downs # MPG112MD.
The Malone carrier uses brackets which are loadstops... view full answer...
All of the crossbars that are offered are made to fit numerous style vehicles and do not allow for adjustments in height.
I spoke with my contact at Yakima as to why manufacturers do not make adjustable crossbars. He said that they really are not needed. The height difference which is created due to the slope of the vehicle's roof is so minimal that it doesn't alter the function or carrying ability. view full answer...

This device installs between the seat and handlebar... view full answer...
Technically speaking, the Swagman # S64720 will fit the Rola Crossbars. The U-bolts have an inside dimension of 3-1/8 inches which is exactly the same as the width of the crossbars. The U-bolts will be very tight against the edges of the crossbars and could possibly damage them.
The Swagman Race Ready # S64705 might be a better choice. The rack will fit your 3-1/8 inch wide Rola Crossbars with a bit of room to spare. This rack is also a bit more substantial and would do a better job holding... view full answer...
On both the discontinued Hidden Hitch trailer hitch, 60286, and Curt hitch # C11073, the hitch receiver will be located directly below the rear fascia on the vehicle. You can see pictures of the Curt hitch installed on the vehicle in the instructions I have linked for you.
Since you will be carrying bikes with this hitch you will need a bike rack that is compatible with a Class I trailer hitch. Class I trailer hitches can only carry up to 2 bikes maximum because the hitch cannot withstand... view full answer...
For lighting you can use the diode kit, # RM-15267, and not have to worry about cutting into the taillight housing. This will splice into your taillight wiring to allow your tow vehicle to control the taillight assemblies of the towed vehicle. This comes with a round 6-way connector that you will install on the front of your towed vehicle and enough coiled wire to go from there to the RV.
For applications that have separate lighting like yours, this kit will cause your brake lights to... view full answer...
ThCurt trailer hitch part C11073 has a towing capacity of 1,500 lbs total trailer weight and 150 lbs tongue weight. If you were planning on towing your Ninja on a small trailer that weighed less than those capacities this would work well for you.
You will need to check the owner's manual of your 2012 Mazda 2 though for towing capacities on the vehicle and be sure not to exceed the lower of the two figures. For a ball mount you would want part # 3593, for a ball part # 19256, and for trailer... view full answer...

I can help you figure out what which ball mount you will need for your Mazda and Coleman popup camper.
There's some specific measurements to take to determine the rise/drop of ball mount you need. Measure from the inside top of the receiver tube to the ground. Then, with the trailer jacked so that it's level, measure the distance from the underside of the coupler to the ground. The difference between the two measurements is the rise/drop needed. If the coupler height is taller than that... view full answer...
Yes, the Swagman XC 2-Bike Rack part # S64650 will work with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11073 you have on your 2012 Mazda 2. However, in order to maintain Curt's warranty claim you will also need to use the support strap part # 18050 when attaching a bike rack or cargo carrier to this hitch.
The Swagman XC is an excellent rack that will work well for most types of bikes. It has padded uprights to secure the bikes without damaging the frame and adjustable wheel hoops for use... view full answer...
