According to Thule, the Archway 2 Bike Rack, # TH910XT, will fit your 2012 Mazda 2. To install this bike rack on your vehicle, you will want to place the lower arm of the bike rack on the upper tier of the bumper.

You will see 6 straps. The upper straps will hook to the top edge of the rear hatch. The side straps will hook to the side and the bottom straps will hook to the bottom of the rear hatch.

Keep in mind, it is not recommended to open the rear hatch with the bike rack installed. The hinges of the rear hatch on the Mazda 2 were not designed to support the additional weight of the bike rack and could eventually fail.

If you plan on carrying any women's, children's or alternative frame bikes, I also recommend picking up the Bike Adapter Bar, # TH982XT. Bikes with angled or small frames can be difficult to load on a bike rack and can cause ground clearance issues. This adapter will allow you to carry the bikes easily and safely.
