The Curt Trailer Hitch part # C11474 is the highest capacity hitch that is offered for your 2014 VW Jetta. It has an 1-1/4" receiver tube opening and a 200 lb. tongue weight capacity.
With that in mind the 20x47 Reese Cargo Carrier part # 63155 would be a great choice. You of course can not exceed the 200 lb. capacity of the hitch. This carrier weighs 44 pounds so subtracting that from the 200 pound tongue weight, you could ad up to 156 pounds of cargo.

I have a solution for you and a great hitch for your 2021 VW Jetta with dual exhaust but the Curt Trailer Hitch item # C11540 you were looking at will not fit. Instead you will want the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver item # 24978. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Jetta with included hardware. It mounts behind the rear bumper instead of below your frame. This gives you better ground clearance and appearance. The Draw-Tite hitch also avoids any compatibility issues... view full answer...
There are several ways that you can wire your Toad depending on a few factors including how frequently you want to tow the vehicle, the type of supplemental braking system used, and if you wan a more permanent or temporary solution for lights.
If you will not be towing the Jetta often then I recommend a magnetic kit like # RM-2120 that will plug into the 4-Way flat once installed on the Eurovan. This bypasses the vehicle wiring so you do not have to worry about using a brake light relay... view full answer...
Correct, the GLI models have different tail lights so you won't be able to use a plug-in trailer wiring harness. That said, we do still have an option in the Curt Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # C56496 which will hardwire directly into the wires behind the tail lights. It provides a 4-pole/4-way connector which is the most common and widely used.
If you don't already have a trailer hitch picked out then I recommend adding the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver... view full answer...
I have a great roof rack recommendation for your 2010 Volkswagen Jetta with the Yakima JetStream Crossbars, part # Y00426. They are aero-style crossbars, making them compatible with most accessories while cutting down on wind noise and resistance. They are 60" long and have a capacity of 165 pounds.
To mount these to your Jetta, you will need the BaseLine Towers, part # Y28TR, and the BaseClip Fit Kit, part # Y06117. I've linked to a video review of the towers and fit kit below.

SeaSucker does offer the Komodo part # 298-BK1910-BK which is a fit for your 2016 Volkswagen Jetta but the Falcon is only for truck bed. The SeaSucker is an amazing rack but, I realize that's quite a large price difference so you might instead like the Thule OutWay # TH45JV. The OutWay which is an extremely high quality bike rack that fits your vehicle and costs less than the SeaSucker.
If you plan on carrying any women's or alternative framed bikes without horizontal top tubes you may... view full answer...
I will start by saying that the Curt Hitch # C11540 will fit the VW Jetta line from 2019 to 2021 as long as it is not a GLI model and or with dual exhaust. As long as don't have one of these, you are good to go. The wiring is a different matter though.
I checked with Curt and they do not offer a custom fit wiring harness for this year range of Jetta, so I recommend going with the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118791. This is a direct plug an play kit, but you will need to run... view full answer...
The Thule Force XT XXL Roof Cargo Box, # TH6359B, would work great on your Jetta once you got the roof rack installed. Rhino Rack offers some quality roof rack options for your Jetta that are reasonably priced. If you wanted a square bar roof rack, you'd need the following parts:
Crossbars, part # RRVA118B-2
Legs, part # RRRLKVA
Vehicle specific clamp kit, part # DK092
This would be our most popular option based on quality and cost. The Aero bar will reduce wind noise and some choose... view full answer...
The SportRack Semi-Custom roof rack, # SR1010, is listed as a fit for a 2008 VW Jetta.
According to my Thule Rep, the SportRack bars are about 1/8 of an inch wider than the Thule square bars. Since your snowboard carrier is of a recent generation, my Thule representative tells me that it should fit just fine on the SportRack crossbars. view full answer...
As you are looking at the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11474 and T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118667 for your 2006 Volkswagen Jetta TDI Sedan, Curt recommends the Ball Mount # 3593. This ball mount will accept either a 1-7/8" Ball # 19256 or 2" Ball # 19258 to match your trailer coupler.
I recommend a Ball Mount Bag # ETBMB to store the ball mount, pin and clip when not in use. This will help keep everything together when you need it. view full answer...
Besides the SMI Air Force One # SM99243 you can use the Blue Ox Patriot, # BLU37TR, with your 1998 Volkswagen Jetta if you think the Air Force One will not fit. I have linked the installation details for the Patriot system for you. view full answer...
Using the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver # 24978 on your 2019 Volkswagen Jetta the receiver is capable of supporting a trailer up to 2,000lbs with a tongue weight up to 200lbs. You will want to verify towing capability with your owners manual or dealer service department to determine exact capacities for your Jetta.
More than likely with Endeavor rating the trailer for a class II receiver is for one of 2 reasons. As they list the dry weight at 530lbs with a load capacity... view full answer...
Hey Carter, it is possible to upgrade your axles but it really just comes down to getting the correct axle dimensions from your current axles and ordering the higher capacity with same dimensions. You need the hub face to hub face dimension as well as the distance between spring centers. We don't have any 10k axles though so you'd need to find a local trailer shop to you who can order customer axles and let them get you what you need. view full answer...

Your 2019 Volkswagen Jetta has a roof rack weight limit of 165lbs, so your vehicle's roof will not have any problems supporting two Thule Hullavators. The issue will be the length of your crossbars. You need between 4" and 8" of excess bar length between the towers/feet and the end of your crossbar. Each Hullavator is 36" long. This means you will need a crossbar length of at least 72". The recommended crossbar length on your vehicle is 50". That means you will have an additional 11" of... view full answer...

The Sportrack roof rack part # SR1010 is listed as a fit for your 2013 Volkswagen Jetta with a sunroof.
Since this is a semi-custom fit rack that doesn't always fit the best I would recommend instead you go with the Rhino Rack part numbers # RRVA118B-2, # RRRLKVA, and # DK306 as this is also a budget-friendly option that is custom fit so it would be a much better fit. view full answer...
Yes! I confirmed with Thule that the Thule Gateway Pro 2 Bike Rack # TH88VR fits a 2019 Volkswagen Jetta. As far as the shape of the sharp slanted downtubes of your bikes, I recommend using a bike frame adapter bar # RRRBCA021 for each bike. This adapter bar will provide your bikes with a straight, horizontal plane that is required to attach to the arms of the rack. I went ahead and attached a video that shows how the adapter works with a bike frame similar to yours. As far as weight capacity,... view full answer...
