  • Parts Required to Tow a 4 X 8 Rental Trailer With 2011 Scion tC Hatchback
  • The basic components required to tow a trailer are the trailer hitch, ball mount, pin and clip, hitch ball and wiring harness to operate the trailer lights. I have linked for you two articles on towing; one covers the items needed and the other offers guidance for safe towing practices. We offer several brands of 1-1/4-inch Class I hitches, and all can be seen on the link provided. Since all three are rated equally I suggest the cost-effective Draw-Tite # 24815. I've included a hitch install...

  • Adapter for 4-Flat on Vehicle to Attach to 7-Way Round on Trailer
  • Thank you for the photos they were very helpful. What you have on your vehicle is a 4-way flat, and on your trailer you have a 7-way round, which is less common than a 7-way blade-style, but there is still an option for you to connect the two. The correct part adapter for this is the Custer Trailer Connector Adapter - 4-Way Flat to 7-Way Round # KIT-7P-4. If you just want to use it for your the same functions as your 4-way - the turn signals and tail lights - you only need to plug your...

  • Recommended Anti-Rattle for 1-1/4 inch Trailer Hitch Receiver With a Cargo Carrier
  • The best thing to use would be an anit-rattle kit like the Curt Anti-Rattle Kit, part # F-315. You will use this in place of the pin and clip that you are using now to hold your Pro Series Cargo Carrier # 63155 in your receiver more securely by reducing the play. Another option that might offer some more peace of mind is the SilentACT Anti-Rattle Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock, part # SHP2082. This will not only take the play out of your current setup, but it will also lock your cargo carrier...

  • Everything Needed for a 2006 Scion XB to Tow a Small Trailer Carrying a Motorcycle
  • For your 2006 Scion XB, I recommend starting with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11487. This is a custom fit and will use ball mount # C45521, along with pin and clip # F-4 and ball # A-82. The wiring harness for your vehicle is the Curt # C56030, which will connect to the factory wiring behind the trim panels in the cargo area on each side. Then you simply need your small trailer with a 2 inch coupler to match the hitch ball and you'll be good to go. You may want to consider a wheel...

  • Recommended Roof Rack And Fit Kit For A 2008 Scion xB
  • I spoke with my contact at Thule, and unfortunately there is not a fit kit to fit your Thule Wingbar Evo to your 2008 Scion xB. With that being said I know it's not what you'd like to do, but If you need a roof rack you're going to have to get a new setup, unfortunately. I recommend checking out the Inno Aero Crossbars # INXB153-2, with the feet # INXS250, and the fit kit # INK300. These crossbars measure 60" (152 cm) 3-1/8" wide x 1-1/8" tall, and has a maximum weight capacity of 165-lbs.

  • All Parts Needed to Add Roof Rack to 2013 Scion xB
  • The part you mentioned is the fit kit for a Rhino-Rack roof rack on your 2013 Scion xB, and to complete the roof rack you'll need to add crossbars and the mounting feet, and the locks do come with it. Here is a list of the parts you'd need to add this rack to your Scion: - Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars # RRVA137B-2 - Rhino-Rack 2500 Series Legs for Vortex Aero Crossbars # RRRLKVA - Custom DK Fit Kit # DK152 I have added a photo which shows the rack on a Scion xB.

  • Straight or Coiled Cables for Falcon All-Terrain Tow Bar?
  • Because this tow bar has a built-in cable guide, I would go with the straight cables, part RM-645. The coiled cables might be a little hard to thread through the cable guide.

  • Lock to Secure Swagman XP Hitch Rack to Hitch Receiver
  • Replacement Locking Knob # P1040 will allow you to add or replace the locking knob on any their Original and XP Series Bike Carriers. This lock functions to secure the outermost bike on the rack, which does protect the other bikes. To secure one of these racks to your 1-1/4-inch hitch receiver you can use a hitch lock like # S64029.

  • Largest Trailer Hitch Receiver Available for a 2010 Scion xB
  • The highest-rated trailer hitch available for your 2010 Scion xB is a Class II hitch from Curt: - Curt Class II Trailer Hitch Receiver # C12490 The Class II rating means it is stronger than a Class I, but it still has a 1-1/4" receiver. Since motorcycle carriers need a larger/stronger 2" receiver, and a hitch adapter cuts the weight capacity in half, I recommend finding a small trailer to transport your motorcycle if the Scion xB is your only vehicle available to use. To tow a trailer...

  • Recommended Roof Rack for 2012 Scion xB to Carry Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Carrier
  • The good news is that the Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Carrier and Lift Assist with Tie-Downs - Side Loading # TH898 will fit on most aftermarket and factory roof racks, so there are some options available for your 2012 Scion xB. I recommend using the Rhino Rack for 2012 Scion xB that uses the Rhino Rack Vortex Aero bars # RRVA137B-2, the Rhino Rack 2500 Series Legs # RRRLKVA and Fit Kit # DK152. This kit will provide you with a high quality and durable roof rack to fit on the naked roof...

  • What Do I Need to Flat Tow my 2007 Scion tC Behind my Motorhome
  • You will need a Roadmaster Base Plate to Tow Ready Tow Bar Adapter # RM-025 to go from the Reese tow bar to a Roadmaster Base Plate kit # 1176-1. You will also want a Roadmaster Tow Bar Quick Disconnect Kit # RM-201. You will also need safety cables. I recommend Roadmaster Safety Cables, # RM-643. These are coiled so they will not drag on the ground. The next component you will need to flat tow the 2007 Scion tC is lighting. There are actually several lighting methods depending on your...

  • Parts Needed to Flat Tow Scion xA
  • According to my research, a 2004, 2005 or 2006 Scion xA can be flat towed if it's equipped with a manual transmission. Automatic transmission-equipped vehicles must be towed using a tow dolly like part # DM9713093. I'd recommend you consult your owner's manual for confirmation. To flat tow the vehicle, you'll need base plates, a tow bar, safety cables, a wiring solution so the vehicle taillights work along with those of the motorhome and a supplemental braking system. For a base plate,...

  • What is Proper Trailer Wiring for a 2009 Scion xB
  • The Modulite that the local place was referring to is the black box you see on part # 118468. Rest assured, this is the correct part for your 2009 Scion xB. The 2009 xB has separate brake and turn bulbs, so the box combines these two signals so it can hook up to standard trailer light systems. There is also a loose red wire lead on the box that does need to be run to the battery. This is so the trailer is powered directly from the battery instead of pulling extra power through the factory...

  • Hitch Mount Hanging Rhino-Rack Bike Rack on a 2015 Scion xB
  • I may have a solution for you but Rhino-Rack does not have a 3-bike hanging hitch mount bike rack. Since you're going to be carrying three bikes you'll need the Class II Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C12490. It's confirmed to fit your 2015 Scion xB and a Class I hitch cannot carry more than two bikes. With the Curt hitch you will also need the support strap # 18050. It's required by Curt when using the hitch for any non-trailer loads like a bike rack. For a 3-bike rack I recommend...
