Hi David,
The Sliding Under Platform Pontoon Boat Ladder # JIF55VR can be installed pretty much anywhere on the boat as long as there's enough space so you can definitely install it on the front of your pontoon. This ladder requires a 17-3/8" long x 12-3/4" wide spacing for the mounting bracket. view full answer...
You need to use the following calculation to find if you have enough clearance:
(A + B) - C = Clearance
A = Distance from the gooseneck ball to the truck cab
B = Offset used
C = Width of the nose of the trailer divided by 2.
So your A is 35" and C is 48" which means right now Clearance = -13". You really want A to be 4" more than C so in this case you need a 17" offset. Even if you combine an offset ball with an offset adapter you aren't going to be able to get to 17" or even 13". The... view full answer...
We do have the Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness # HM11141164 which will allow you to plug into the tail lights on your 2019 Chevrolet Colorado. Do understand this will require you to run a dedicated power wire to the battery under the hood and only gives you a 4-way flat connector.
Most people tend to go with the Hopkins Multi-Tow 7-Way Blade and 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector # HM11141144 since they are simply splicing into wiring that is already terminated on the factory... view full answer...

Hello Mark, when installing the Curt # C11473, the curt instructions say to torque the bumper beam bolts to 23 ft lbs. I have linked these instructions for you below. It rare, but not unheard of for Curt to change certain bolt torque specs, so I do encourage you to refer to the instruction manual that came with your hitch to confirm this torque spec. view full answer...
Hey Tom, the # ETBC7 kit is exactly what you will need to install a 7-way on your 2004 Toyota Tacoma TRD V6 with the factory 4-flat plug. Here are the answers to your questions:
1. Yes. The kit includes quick splice connectors which make this easy. I have linked the install instructions, as well as I diagram for your reference.
2. Yes. The kit will include its own bracket that will hold both the 7-way, and 4-flat plugs. See the picture below.
3. Install time is probably 2-4 hours depending... view full answer...
Hey Dan, so it looks like to wire up the Deka Battery Isolator # DW08771 you'd need to start by connecting terminal 1 to the positive battery terminal of the main battery. The original wire from the alternator to the main battery would be then be removed from the battery, and installed on terminal 1. Terminal E would need to be connected to the an ignition circuit that's hot only when the key is switched on via a 6 amp breaker. Terminal A would connect to the battery lead on the alternator... view full answer...
Thanks for reaching out Robert!
I definitely agree with you, but I unfortunately don't have a say in what Convert-A-Ball includes in this Kit # CAB-C5G.
Since it sounds like you're needing to tow something weighing more than 15,200 lbs I recommend upgrading the chains to the Reese Safety Chain Kit # RP49151 which has a 20,000 lb capacity. view full answer...
Hey Scott,
Tongue weight is the downward force on the trailer hitch when hauling a trailer or hitch mounted accessory. The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98840 can accommodate up to 900lbs so a 500lb loaded up motorcycle carrier would fall within its capabilities. view full answer...
To install the Lippert Center Point # LC1565391 on your 2017 Jayco Pinnacle 36FBTS you are going to have to remove the MORryde X-Factor Crossmember # MR99ZR. This brace is used to reduce stress on the frame and hangers when making tight turns. view full answer...
Hey Joe, thanks for reaching out!
It sounds like you're needing the 3rd Brake Light Logic Module # PP20-702 which connects to both turn signals and only sends a signal on the 3rd wire when both turn signals are lit up. We usually recommend using this for the 3rd brake light on truck toppers but it will function the same for a brake controller.
The only thing that you might consider using instead is the Roadmaster Universal Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751000 which installs down at the brake... view full answer...
Hey Ron,
Some models can come without a factory wire harness installed but it sounds like you already found it so you wouldn't have an issue using the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers # 22292 to install a Tekonsha-branded brake controller like the Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195. I've attached a short video below where Ryan will help walk you through the installation process. view full answer...
Hey Gene,
Nope, you definitely don't want to power the Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # HM11140804 to the rear power socket on your 2006 Infiniti FX45.
You must run the hot lead to the battery when installing the harness as this is the only way to ensure your wiring is not affected; the wiring wouldn't be protected if you ran it to the power socket. view full answer...
Hello Joe. The only options we currently have for installing a brake controller on your 2021 BMW X5 with the factory tow package will be to manually wire it to the 4-pin connector, or simply remove the connector and hardwire it.
BMW actually used to put their brake controller plug near the rear of the vehicle on the X5, so for a few years the only plug and play brake control adapter made was like 19 feet long. I believe that Tekonsha will be coming out with an adapter for the BMW X5 eventually,... view full answer...
Hey Keith! To add a hitch to your 2024 Kia Sportage Prestige hybrid, I recommend the etrailer item # e38KR. This is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver that is custom fit for your Kia and bolts to it with included hardware. It fits all models of the 2024 Sportage including your hybrid.
For a wiring harness, you'll need the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness item # C99DR. This 4-way connector is custom fit and plugs into your Kia's wiring harness, which is located behind the tail... view full answer...

I have linked the installation instructions below so you can see how to get this hitch installed. view full answer...
Hi Chris; the wire really isn't shown in the video in a way I can get you a better picture. We also don't have a Chevy Express van handy for me to grab additional pictures. If you can't tell which wire is the light blue wire coming out of the 2nd pin on pink/violet connector I would pull the connector out to get a better view. This should make it easier to splice it in and then reconnect it. If you can't get it out (I know it looks like a tight space so easier said than done) I would use... view full answer...
