Installation of ETBC7 on 2017 Chevy Express Van
Question:
I watched your video on the Trailer Brake controller universal kit installation for the 2019 Chevrolet Express Van. at the 10:02 time mark they are trying to explain where to hook up the wire to pull signal from the 3rd brake light and he talks about using the light blue wire from the 2 pin on the purple/pink connector. I cant figure out which wire he is referring to. Can you possibly send me a picture or 2 that better explains were I need to add the quick splice? I cant figure it out. Thanks.

Hi Chris; the wire really isn't shown in the video in a way I can get you a better picture. We also don't have a Chevy Express van handy for me to grab additional pictures. If you can't tell which wire is the light blue wire coming out of the 2nd pin on pink/violet connector I would pull the connector out to get a better view. This should make it easier to splice it in and then reconnect it. If you can't get it out (I know it looks like a tight space so easier said than done) I would use a tester like # PTW2993 to see which light blue wire has power with the brakes pressed.
