For example, there are many different types of Pedego Bikes and there isn't one rack that works with them all. From what I could find there shouldn't be any difference between a European wheel bolt pattern and a US pattern. With that being said, you can verify this by measuring your existing bolt pattern to make sure it matches up to what we have available. The Yakima BackSwing part # Y02483 that you referenced is a form of hitch extender as there isn't a way to add the pivot function without also adding length. This does add 14 inches as an extender and also does cut tongue weight capacity of the hitch by 50 percent due to added length. The best hitch extender will be the shortest one that still gives you the clearance you need. Since it sounds like you only need a little more clearance our shortest option which is the Brophy part # HE06 which is an extension that is 7 inches long. The Thule Spare Me 2 Bike Rack # TH963PRO hasn't been test fit on a 2021 Land Rover Defender but it is supposed to fit tires up to 12.5" wide x 33" diameter and your 275/45R22 tires are 10.8" wide x 31.7" diameter so you'll be good to go!

The brake and turn signal circuits on a Euro 7-Pin Trailer Connector are separate whereas the brake and turn signals circuits on a US 4-Way Trailer Connector are combined.
