None of the Thule Kayak carriers will accommodate a crossbar that is 3-1/8 inches wide (assuming you are using a Rola crossbar).

That is correct, the Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock for Kuat Transfer Bike Racks # HLT does not work with the Kuat Transfer V2 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes # KU74FR because of the built-in anti-rattle system the V2 has. Instead you would need a Kuat hitch lock without a threaded pin.

Part # P315 probably would not work with your hitch. My information shows that the only available hitches for your 2008 Kia Optima are Class I hitches and P139 is for Class II only.
We do have another adapter that will work for a Class I hitch. It is part # HTAD and it will allow your Class I 1-1/4 hitch to accept 2 inch accessories. I cannot say for a fact how the bulbs tie into the systems you mentioned on your 2011 Kia Optima but I can imagine that the problem is amperage draw. LED lights draw much less power than incandescent bulbs. This can confuse the computers on some vehicles and cause warning lights to come on and maybe some other issues but I can't give any specific examples.

As long at the crossbars you use aren't wider than the widest part of the vehicle, which could be a safety problem, you could certainly use the 58 inch crossbars instead of the 48 inch ones. According to my research, the 2009 Optima is about 71 inches wide at it's widest point. Using a 58 inch crossbar would be just fine.
