To answer your question, there are not left and right hand opening door latches. Something like the Global Link RV Entry Door Locking Latch Kit # 295-000019 can be used on doors with either left-hand or right-hand side hinges by turning the latch kit upside down. Most entry doors are hinged on the right side, but it looks like you have the rare door that is hinged on the left side. While this is understandably awkward, there isn't a latch kit that will turn the same way as a door that is... view full answer...
That isn't a complaint that I have heard a lot of concerning the Bauer Products European Style RV Entry Door Lock # BA38AR. Finding a replacement hand rail could be a solution. I'm not sure what travel trailer you have or what hand rail set-up you are currently using but something like the Stromberg Carlson Folding Handrail # AC-300 may work. I have included a picture that makes it look like the door latch will be in the opening of the hand rail when folded.
If this does not look like... view full answer...
I'm not sure what you mean specifically by locking mechanism but for a locking cargo/baggage door latch we have the Global Link RV Baggage Door Slam Latch # 295-000015. view full answer...
We do not carry keys with that specific number on it so the best option we can offer is a replacement entry door locking latch kit.
The Global Link RV Entry Door Locking Latch Kit does have options for you to get multiples that can be keyed alike so you can use only one key for your trailer, and is available in Black # 295-000019, Polished Chrome # 295-000002, or White # 295-000021.
They fit doors that are 1-1/4" to 1-1/2" thick and require a latch cut out that is 2-1/2" to 3" wide... view full answer...
We don't have any way of knowing what slam latches are on any trailer; if you have a Bauer BP-20, Fastec (FIC) 30205, Global Link 40101-2006, BLL-50101-2006 - or if your cutout is 3-1/4" tall x 4" wide you can use the Bauer Products RV Baggage Door Slam Latch # BA57FR.
Or if you have a 1-1/2" thick Global Link, Fastec (FIC), Bauer, or Lippert Components standard baggage door lock you can use the Global Link RV Baggage Door Slam Latch with Keyed Alike Option # 295-000015. view full answer...
We have the Non-Locking Steel Flush Door Latch, part # N3980 in stock, but there are a few changes you need to be aware of. I have attached a couple photos that show the difference between the latch shown on our website and what we actually have.
I called our supplier and they said they were having a hard time getting the latches shown on our site. They used a different supplier for a short time and this is the result. They do not have a time line when the latches with the original design... view full answer...
Please note the attached image of the Bauer Products RV Baggage Door Slam Latch, # BA57FR. If you think you may have ordered the incorrect item, please forward an image of what you have and measurements. This part is specifically made to replace the Bauer BP-20. view full answer...
While we do not have any specific replacement parts we do have some options but you will need to replace the latch system (unfortunately the second picture you mentioned did not come through).
For example, you may be able to use the 55" Lock Side-Door Bar Lock Assembly # 3057-55 or the Cam-Action Lockable Door Latch Kit # PLR158.
I have added links to video reviews of these locks for you to take a look at as well as a link to our entire selection of locks so you can see if there is anything... view full answer...
I pulled one of the # L4080 locking door latches from our warehouse, and you would be able to mount it in an upright position, or really in any position you choose. You would just want to make sure that the latching bar will catch, in whatever position the door latch is mounted. view full answer...
The Lippert Slam Latch for RV Doors part # LC54PJ comes with a random key code with is unspecified. We also offer the Global Link RV Baggage Door Slam Latch with Keyed Alike Option part # 295-000015 which like the above comes with a random key code that is unspecified but it can be ordered keyed alike so you can purchase multiple and they'll come with the same key code.
Unfortunately, we don't have any way to offer a slam door latch to match your existing locks. view full answer...
To create barn doors out of your ramp door, you will need hinges and a latch. I suggest a latch/lock system like the Universal Cam-Door Lock for Enclosed Trailers - 1" Keeper, # 383200. This will use a 3/4 inch diameter pipe that you'll have to get at a local hardware store, but the bridge-type keeper prevents accidental opening and ensures safe locking action. It will also allow you to use a separate lock like # ML1KA to secure your cargo.
We will also need hinges similar to Strap... view full answer...
Yes that's correct. So the Lippert RV Entry Screen Door Latch # LC201472 you're looking at will work as a replacement for left hand opening doors.
It can be al little confusing since this latch will be installed on the right hand side of your door, but the door itself will swing to the left to open.
Additionally, this part measures 3-11/16" long, has a 1-3/16" width and the mounting holes are located about 3" on center. view full answer...
I dug through the inventory we have of the Cam-Action Lockable Door Latch for Fold Down Trailer Gate or Side Door # PLR3057 and found that the picture is correct and that the video must've been shot with an older version of this kit when the manufacturer used square holes in the hinges. view full answer...
On a Global Link slam latch like the Global Link RV Baggage Door Slam Latch # 295-000015, the key code will be on the keys themselves or the back side of the slam latch.
If you are unable to locate the key code, I would recommend reaching out to where you purchased the camper since you mentioned it being new. view full answer...
The Bauer Products RV Baggage Door Slam Latch part # BA57FR comes with a random key code. There is not an option to order this lock with a specific key code. That said, if you order multiple and select the key alike option on the product page you can obtain multiples of this lock with the same key code but you again can't specify what that key code is.
In short, the only way we can offer you to get all your baggage door slam latches to use the same key is if you order all new ones with... view full answer...
I follow your intent of stacking for purpose of spacing, but suggest you attempt to source something from local hardware store instead of stacking this item to gain the needed height. Yes, this magnets polarity will allow the Bauer Products Magnetic Door Holder for Trailer Compartment Doors, # BA98VR to be stacked, but the face side is not a uniform flat surface. view full answer...
I do have an option for you in the Global Link RV Entry Door Locking Latch Kit part # 295-000019, but unfortunately we don't have the ability to offer these with a specific key code. It will come with a randomly assigned key code and two keys for this. The keyed alike option only applies to ordering multiple latches at one time. view full answer...
The Global Link RV Entry Door Locking Latch Kit part # 295-000019 comes with a matching set of keys therefore the same key will be used for both the latch and deadbolt. In regards to the keyed alike option, this would be used when purchasing more than one latch and wanted them to all come with the same keys. view full answer...
