Most of the time releasing the tension is the most you'll need to do. However, if you find yourself in a situation where the trailer could jackknife, removing the entire unit would be your best bet. Removing the unit is very simple, all you need to do is remove the two clips and pull the unit off. view full answer...

I did some research on the Hydralift site and found that you can flat-tow when using the motorcycle lift. Using an extension in a trailer hitch reduces the capacity of the hitch by 50 percent and I do not recommend that. From the site it appears no extensions are used in the hitch and when the motorcycle is lifted will provide enough clearance to flat-tow, but I cannot find any information about clearance using the Hydralift.

Blue Ox offers a High-Low Adapter, part # BX88235 that might work for you if getting a 3 inch drop in the receiver would put you below the 16 inch maximum receiver height. This isn't an inexpensive solution, but the adapter has a huge weight capacity that will be needed to withstand the battering it will receive when used with a plow.
Keep in mind that the adapter cannot be used for towing a trailer. view full answer...
Great question.
The only adapter we have that will work with a Ready Brute is the Blue Ox Base Plate Adapter Brackets for Ready Brute Elite Tow Bars # BX88297.
This adapter, will work with the tow bar but won't work with the D-rings. You would need a blue ox base plate. For me to get you the proper base plate I would need more information about your bumper and some pics of it.
We have two sizes of D-ring adapters 1 inch and 3/4 inch. Two examples of this would be the Adapter for Jeep... view full answer...
It's not recommended that the pin from the breakaway switch be removed, in order to keep dirt and debris from getting into the switch and interfering with its operation.
Unfortunately, I'm not aware of a cover or cap. I've checked with a couple of our manufacturers who tell me that they don't offer a cap. Your best bet would be to simply leave the switch in place. I've been doing this for 15 years, and I've honestly never head of a breakaway pin being stolen. If you're using a # HM20010... view full answer...

To flat tow your 1993 Jeep Wrangler you will need a Tow Bar, Safety Cables, a Base Plate Kit, Vehicle Tow Bar Lighting, and most likely a Supplemental Braking System and High-Low Adapter.
If you are talking about using a Supplemental Braking System for flat towing your Jeep then I highly recommend it. Not only does it make your flat towing setup more safe, but it is also a requirement in most states. You can check the rules for flat towing in any states that you will be passing through... view full answer...
