A hitch mounted cargo carrier doesn't have a specified height requirement. You are correct that the longer the carrier extends the less ground clearance it will have on an inclined angle like a driveway. Some carriers have a rise integrated into the shank for that very reason like # E98874. This carrier has a 2 inch rise to change the angle. If you will be towing on level ground, a minimum height of 8 inches is enough for the suspension travel, but I personally would shoot for 12 inches... view full answer...
The No-Drill Mounting Clips for EZ Connector # 319-S7-60B2 referenced in your question will replace both the 7- and 4-Way receptacle on your Sierra 3500. There is not a mounting clip available from EZ Connector that would replace just the 7-Way portion and leave the factory 4-Way portion intact.
I have attached an image of the instructions just so you can see exactly how this installs on your truck. view full answer...

No, the air bag on the Curt Flex Air 5th Wheel Pin Box # LC65VR should not deflate while you're towing. If it does, then that means you have a leak and the air bag would need to be replaced.
It's not required, but it is good practice to deflate the bag whenever you store your trailer to keep unnecessary pressure off of the bag and it's fittings. view full answer...

To install your Pullrite Superglide ISR fifth wheel hitch in the bed of a 2020 GMC Sierra 3500 with an OEM rail kit all you need is the part # DM6333 as this fits the rail kit and provides the type of rail kit that the ISR hitch you have now is designed to fit.
If your truck is a long bed you wouldn't need a slider hitch still but if it's a short bed you would. view full answer...
We have underbed rail kit and hitch options that fit your 2019 GMC Sierra 3500 short bed that does not have the OEM rail kit but we don't have a way to install a Curt hitch for the OEM GM rail kit as we don't carry that exact rail design.
Closest option we have would be the Reese Elite Underbed Rail Kit part # RP30868 with the Curt Ford UnderBed Q20 Slider Hitch part # C16530-16020. The rail kit from Reese is designed to fit your truck and since Reese makes the Ford rail kit the Ford OEM... view full answer...
In order to install a fifth wheel hitch that's compatible with industry-standard bed mounting rails like your Reese 16K hitch, you'll want to use the Demco # DM6333 that you'd looked at. The adapter drops into the in-bed pucks and latch into place, providing industry standard rails to mount your hitch. I've linked to a product description video featuring the adpater. view full answer...
I do have options for you but I called my contact at Camco and they told me that the top part on the Cyclone RV Plumbing Vent part # CAM40597 that rotates is not designed to be removed. I went out to our warehouse and tested this myself to confirm that the rotating head cannot be removed and put back on. If you are looking for a lower profile vent I recommend the Camco RV Replacement Plumbing Vent part # CAM40033 which comes with both the putty and screws needed for installation. We also... view full answer...
The Progressive Dynamics Inteli-Power RV Converter and Battery Charger part # PD9160ALV is actually designed exclusively for lithium (LiPO4) batteries so it will work great charging them. The built-in charge wizard provides the fast initial charge these types of batteries need and then drops down to a maintenance voltage of 13.6 volts.
I recommend going with a converter/charger as opposed to an inverter/charger mainly due to the cost savings. view full answer...
Installing and removing the BedRug Custom Truck Bed Mat # BR94FR repeatedly may result in less "stickiness" as it is really designed to be installed and then remain inside the truck bed of your 2021 GMC Sierra 3500, so I do recommend leaving it in after installation.
The fasteners are going to stick to the truck bed extremely well provided you follow the instructions when installing it in regards to making sure your bed is clean so it has a smooth surface to stick to. I have added a link... view full answer...
Correct, the TorkLift SuperHitch Magnum Trailer Hitch Receiver part # TL74FR which is a fit for 2021 GMC Sierra 3500 does require the bolts to the bed be loosened. That said, it actually is not that bad. They won't be removed fully either.
I have emailed the entire instructions to you separately. view full answer...
The SuperSprings SuperSway Stops part # SS65GR for a 2022 GMC Sierra 3500 will only engage when loaded, they basically just extend the upper overload a few inches so they come into contact sooner offering faster support. In order to determine the correct 12v, 30 amp, ignition activated power source for your Command I Xtreme Duty Compressor with Analog Gauge, Air Tank, and 25' Hose # F2543, you will need to physically test with a multimeter # PT29ZR, or refer to your owner's manual for which circuits come on with the ignition, and which ones are at 30 amps.
Unfortunately, we cannot tell you which circuits those might be, as these will vary from vehicle to vehicle.

In order to bypass your factory installed controller in your 2018 GMC Sierra 3500 and install an aftermarket brake controller like the Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller, # 90885, with Plug-In Wiring Adapter, # 3016, you will have to make a couple of cuts and connections.
You will then take a length of wire, # 10-1-1, and connect it to the blue wire you removed from the connector.
Route the blue wire through the firewall, under the truck, and to the trailer connector. Avoid hot or moving... view full answer...

You're not the first person to have issues with their factory integrated brake controller, and I know a lot of customers choose the RedArc Tow Pro Elite # RED44FR as a replacement for this- so you've made a good choice. Some of the answers are newer than others, so information comes to light as we have experience with these vehicles that may change some of the processes we recommend... view full answer...
All the Rapid Hitch ball mounts we carry, like part # AM3461, are for 2 inch hitch receivers but we do have similar products. I recommend the Weigh Safe 180, part # LTB4-25. It does fit a 2-1/2 inch receiver and stil gives you 4 inches of drop or 5 inches of rise.
The Weigh Safe doesn't have the greaseless hitch balls like the Rapid Hitch but they are stainless steel. view full answer...
I contacted the manufacturer about the wires and turning off the guidance lines on the Custom Third Brake Light Camera for 8" Factory Monitor # 3460010. What they said was to go to the camera and the main cable coming off of it has 2 sets of small wires. Green and white. Locate the green wires, they should be separated. Strip back a small amount of plastic from each green wire and twist the tips together. Then cover the exposed edge. Go to the camera power and disconnect it for about 5... view full answer...
If your 2017 GMC Savana 4500 Cutaway came with the factory tow package then # HM40975 would plug into a factory harness already present under the van. It is usually tucked up above the spare tire or in that general area.
For a brake controller I recommend the Prodigy P3, part # 90195. It's the easiest to use and most reliable controller we carry and one of the best on the market. The LCD takes the guess work out of using it and troubleshooting any errors that may come up along the way.
