In order to determine the correct rear sway bar for your 2017 Thor ACE 30.2 on a Ford F-53 chassis, you will need to take a look at the rear shock mounts. If the rear shock mounts have two holes and are parallel to the ground (see photo) then you will want to use part # RM-1139-145. Since you have older steps made in 1999 you're going to need the Motor Upgrade Kit # LC379145 which comes with the control unit, gear box, and motor. Unfortunately the parts for the older Kwikee steps are no longer made so you either need this upgrade kit or a whole new step assembly.

I would start here. Generally this is what has failed. To verify look for a hot spot or a flash point on one of the control board circuits. There is not a replacement touch pad available anywhere that I can find new. This may have to be sourced used.
