The main difference between the Access Roctection Universal Mud Flaps # AC100001 and Access Roxter Universal Mud Flaps # AD100001 is the Roctection # AC100001 has an integrated stabilizer plate that prevents rocking back and forth. The Roxter uses a slightly different frame that slides together.
Both of the mudflaps will be a great addition to your 2018 Chevy Silverado if you're pulling a boat, ATV, camper or any other trailer or gear you don't want hit with rocks, road debris, or grime.... view full answer...
Based on everything you have told me, you will be better off with the RoadActive Suspension HD # RAS54FR. You're already contemplating running the standard # RAS4611 at 2mm all the time. It also sounds like you're willing to adjust it for these trips where you're fully loaded, and you're definitely experiencing a lot of sag with all of that weight.
Running the HD at 1mm will in fact be comparable to the 2mm setting on the standard. By choosing the HD you will have a lot of additional... view full answer...
The capacities on the RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kits 2,000LB # RAS4611 and 3,000LB # RAS54FR are the maximum amount of weight these kits are rated to support. In terms of your 6,000lb trailer typically 10-15% of the trailer weight rests on the tongue so you would see around 600-900lbs of tongue weight. For this the 2,000LB # RAS4611 would be the best option of the 2 kits to use.
Personally I recommend using the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37100ET.... view full answer...
There are multiple front mount trailer hitch options for a 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500, the Curt part # C31088 and Draw-Tite part # DT44HR. The Draw-Tite was designed to work on 2.7L Turbo or 3.0L Diesel engine models whereas the Curt is incompatible at this time. I recommend the Draw-Tite due to the wider fit range. view full answer...
I'll pick the etrailer branded tow bars over the Blue Ox alternative any day because of some key features that set them above Blue Ox:
- Triggers for easier disconnection of the arms
- Integrated safety cables so you it's one less thing to remember to grab
- Head adjustment to minimize the need for a high-low adapter (although you still may need one for a truck - see attached article)
- Integrated rod to help keep coiled wiring off the ground
- Stacked arms that provide a wider range... view full answer...
The big advantage to a dual path compressor, like the Air Lift Load Controller I Compressor System for Air Helper Springs - Dual Path # AL25651is that it allows you to air each spring separately. This way, if you are carrying a load in the bed that is not spread out evenly, you can provide more support to one side and get yourself nice and level again.
The single path options, like the Air Lift Load Controller II Compressor System for Air Helper Springs - Single Path # AL25592, will always... view full answer...
The difference between the two Timbren Suspension Enhancement Kits that fit your 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 is that the Timbren # TGMRCK15S are designed to support daily driver trucks for towing and heavier loads, while the other option, part # TGMRTT15S, is designed for service vehicles like a tow truck.
The reason for that is their design, with the service vehicle option being much more rigid and stiff for that type of work.
Due to that, for your 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500, I highly... view full answer...
The difference between the Pop & Lock # PAL9555 and # PAL9772 is that the # PAL9555 kit comes with a powered handle that will replace the existing rotary handle.
The # PAL9772 conversion kit will turn the existing handle on the truck cap into a powered lock. The Replacement Handle # PAL9585 can be added to the # PAL9772 conversion kit to provide a handle. view full answer...
I have a solution for you.
First, though, the Thule Xsporter Pro Shift Overland, part # TH54RR, is in fact a fixed rack. I've had this updated.
For an adjustable one, I recommend the Yakima OverHaul HD, part # Y01151-59. It has a 500-lb capacity (the highest capacity of adjustable racks for your 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500).
I've linked to a video review of this below. view full answer...
The Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2" # C31012 and the Curt # C31069 are more similar than different as you stated with the same capacities and mounting location. I reached out to my contact at Curt and the difference between them is the # C31069 is 1 inch higher so it requires more trimming of the air dam but it also gives you more ground clearance. I've attached a photo of the # C31012 to assist. view full answer...
The colors on the wiring between the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller # RED44FR and the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers # 3064-P will match in terms of function. It sounds like you are wanting to use the # 3064-P to install the # RED44FR. No plug is present under the dash, but the needed wires are already run. You will connect the brake controller wiring with the vehicle wiring already present under the dash.
Since the # RED44FR comes with a... view full answer...
The Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # C31069 provides the most ground clearance out of the three available for your 2017 Chevy Silverado 1500.
To give you a better idea of how low each hitch would sit once bolted to your frame I have attached photos showing the
distance from the frame brackets to the bottom of the hitch receiver for each of the following three hitches:
# C31069 - 9.5 inches
# 65064 - 9.62 inches
# C31012 - 10.9 inches view full answer...
The answer to your question depends on your application. If you will be towing heavy trailers and hauling heavy loads with frequency then the # RAS54FR would be the better choice with a higher capacity. If you're occasionally hauling or towing, and you won't exceed the 2,000 lb weight capacity, then you should get the # RAS4611.
If ride quality is your concern, you probably won't notice a difference between the two. However, it will be easier to fine tune the support on the # RAS4611.... view full answer...
My contact at Extang said that there are not many practical differences between a vinyl tonneau cover like the Extang Trifecta 2.0 # EX92450 and the fabric/canvas Trifecta Signature 2.0 # EX94450 in terms of durability and maintenance.
Both will offer pretty much the same durability and resistance to punctures but the vinyl, in extreme temperatures (hot or cold), will tend to relax and contract a bit more than the fabric version # EX94450. Apart from this point your preference for one... view full answer...
The only real difference between the Hollywood Racks RV Rider Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # HLY64FR and the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # HLY84FR is that the RV rider can also be used on a 5th wheel, flat towed vehicle, and a motorhome while the Sport Rider can only be used with a motorhome.
Since you're eventually getting a bumper pull trailer sometime down the line your best bet would be to use the Lets Go Aero V-Lectric FAT PRO Bike Rack for 2 Electric... view full answer...
They do look similar but the # BXW0550 is designed for standard trailer couplers and the # BXW0553 is designed for underslung couplers. In order to make sure this will work for your trailer you'll want to make sure your tongue weight falls between 350-lbs and 550-lbs, has trailer frame height between 3" and 6" and up to 2-5/8" wide. It sounds like your frame is 4" x 4", so you wouldn't want to use the included clamp on chain hangers. Instead of the clamp on hangers you could either use... view full answer...
Adam R answered my question on Kayak Roof rack carriers, out of the 2 J Style carriers you recommended - Rino Rack and the Thule J Style which one of these would you recommend as they are close in price one at $125 and the other at about $140? Thiese would be the ones that would fit on my 2008 Chrysler Town and Country. view full answer...
With the loaded tongue weight of both your trailers being at or around 900 pounds, the Curt # C17500 is getting a little close to the max capacity. The weight capacity of the Equal-i-zer # EQ37120ET is better, but you are pretty close to the minimum capacity with the enclosed trailer. And I do agree this is quite the price difference. With that being said, I am actually going to recommend a completely different weight distribution system.
The Reese Steadi-Flex Weight Distribution System... view full answer...
While it will not hurt your vehicle, using two suspension enhancement products at the same time could render one product ineffective or will cause one system to be used at limited potential. For example, if you try using both the Timberen Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TGMRCK15S and the SuperSprings Suspension Stabilizer # SSA5MTKT, with a load in the truck, once the Timberen Springs engage the SuperSprings will not be doing much for the load.
I do not recommend using both systems... view full answer...
We do have headache racks that fit the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, but we don't have the Aries Classic model for this vehicle.
Of the headache racks that fit your Silverado, the one closest in price to the # AA111000 that you referenced is the Buyers Products Kabgard Headache Rack - Black Powder Coated Steel, part # 33785104. It may not have the same look as the Aries Classic, but as you can see in the video review I've linked to below, it can accommodate toolboxes and does a good job... view full answer...
