Shane: Hey everyone, Shane here with etrailer.com. Today I have a 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe, and I want to walk through how to install the Scrubblade Heavy-Duty Wiper Blades. Now when we're looking for different wiper blades, we're looking for replacement wiper blades, sometimes we'll go and pick up the cheaper ones, which they work for a little bit, but they tend to skip across the windshield or as soon as the wind hits them, they'll lift up or they flex and then you're getting a streak across the windshield because there's not enough downward pressure. So next time we go and buy a little bit more expensive ones.Well, they work for a little bit longer, but eventually they start acting like the cheaper ones. Well, the Scrubblades have changed the game, because the framing and the suspension mechanism in them is a lot stiffer. So you're getting a lot more downward pressure and each blade is going to have two blades instead of one, like your traditional wiper blades.
Each blade is going to have scrubbers along the whole edge of them and what the scrubbers do is any dirt, debris, bugs, anything like that that may get stuck on the windshield, the scrubbers on there are going to be able to pull that stuff off a lot better than a single blade, like on your traditional wiper blades. So if we compare these to our factory ones, you can see how flexible that is. You can see how stiff that is, it's basically moving this whole thing here. So you can see we're getting a lot more downward pressure on the windshield than we are with a factory one with a single blade. Each one of our blades is going to be covered in nano graphite. And what that does is it keeps the blade from skipping and chattering across the windshield if it so happens that the windshield is dry or we're in a light rain. The framing is going to be a steel frame construction.
You can see it's open, kind of vented, so as we're driving down the road and that wind's coming in, it'll actually allow it to blow through the frame itself and not pull the actual blade off the windshield. So we're getting full contact on the glass and getting as much of that water, dirt, debris, bugs, anything like that off that we can. The blades are going to come in a set of two.Now that we've gone over some of the features, we'll walk you through how to get them installed. To start our installation, our windshield wiper blades or arms actually have a hidden design. So they're kind of tucked underneath the hood and it makes it a little bit more difficult to change the blades.
So what we need to do is we need to get the arms in the upright position. How we're going to do that is we're going to put our key in, turn the accessory on position, our lever, we're going to hold it up at the mist position. So it's going to be straight up. We're going to turn this off first within 20 seconds, we need to hold this up. Our wiper blades come up like that and make it a lot easier to get our new ones installed. Now, when we're done, all we do is put our key in and turn the accessory on position, push the lever down, our windshield wipers will go back down to normal position.
Now they actually install the blade on the arm. It's a good idea to have a piece of cardboard or something like that so that as you're taking this off, if the arm actually slips out of your hand, this does not crack your windshield. We're going to raise this up. Right on the inside, there's going to be a little tab. You're going to push that and pull down. Get you a better look at it. That's it right there. Get our new one on. So I'm going to slide it in like that, rotate it, we're going to push it up until it clicks. And you repeat the process for the passenger side.Once you get both sides installed, go ahead and put your key in the accessory on position, hit your lever for your windshield wiper blades, and allow your windshield wipers to fall back down to the factory position. You're ready to go. That's going to do it for look at and installation on the Scrubblade Heavy-Duty Wiper Blades on a 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe..

do not work very well at all. they stutter across the windows and leave spots not wiped.
Terrible wipers they streak no matter how much liquid is in the windshield I would not recommend them. It’s too bad too because etrailer usually offers great stuff
Don't waste your money on these....
I bought these and after a few days all they did was smear the windows when wiping. Can't return anything to etrailer if it has been used or even placed onto the car for fitting...so I just bought my usual wipers from [store] and they have been fine.
Ordered specifically for a Honda CR V. Wipers look and feel great and I was anxious to try them out. However, after attempting to install the wiper, the heavy metal beam that supports the wiper blade mount was hitting the underside of the wiper arm on the car and would not allow it to sit flat on the windshield! Had to return. VERY DISAPPOINTED!
Do the job well
Works if you install it correctly. Previously gave this a bad review, but found out that they were installed incorrectly where the rigid side was down. This caused the wiper to skip. When I realized this and flipped them around, they worked smoothly as expected. I would recommend.
So far these are excellent got them for our minivan front takes a 20" and a 26" I had originally put on PIAA wipers frame less silicone but the driver side 26" didn't seem to have enough pressure along that large of a beam and so was very streaky so far these traditional frame dual blades have been excellent now to see how long they can survive the NM sun
The scrub blade HD 26” wiper works ok. I was hoping the design would eliminate those wiper marks that are always right in the wrong place. They definitely work and they are better than old ones but i don’t notice a difference compared to a regular replacement.
The wipers work well yet they steak som etimes.
Double blades seems like high quality. Still waiting for rain to test effectiveness.
I've purchased a number of items from this company and they provide quality products as well as great customer service.
still workin fine
5 STAR
Product is good but cardboard package was very beat up.
Hated them. Almost immediately changed them back to a much cheaper brand. They left streaks on my windshield, chattered, and basically did a terrible job.

A common reason why your windshield wipers might be smearing water is worn wiper blades. Wiper blades are made out of soft rubber, so they inevitably wear out and need replacement over time, most will last from six to 12 months. First, try cleaning your windshield thoroughly – dirt and grime can actually cause this annoying streaking and smearing. If this does not help the streaking then it could be time to replace them.
