Lumens are used to measure the amount of usable light that is put out by a light source. Raw lumens represent the number of lumens that the manufacturer claims the LEDs are capable of producing. It does not include the light's drive method or the amount of light lost from the lens or reflector. Effective lumens take these factors into account and represent the number of lumens that are actually produced by the complete light assembly, not just the amount of light that the diodes are capable of producing. Stable lumens builds off the idea of effective lumens by measuring the amount of light produced after 30 minutes of usage, or once the diodes have reached their average operating temperature. These bulbs have a 500 raw lumen capacity per bulb and produce 412 effective lumens per bulb. The stable lumen capacity per bulb is 289 lumens.

Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the ARC ECO Series Amber 4257 LED turn signal bulbs with the wedge base for a quantity of two bulbs. Now these bulbs will easily upgrade your factory incandescent turn signal bulbs by using these amber LED bulbs. They are a compact bulb design. They use automotive grade LED chips and they are sized similar to the OEM bulbs to ensure that there are no fitment or clearance issues. They do use a diffused 360 degree lens, creates nice smooth all around illumination.
The base on it is a wedge base that mounts into a 4257 fixture. It is a durable aluminum construction, prevents overheating and the contact points down here, they are polarity reversible, which means you can put this bulb in this way or that way, and it'll still light up. The polarity doesn't matter. Now, I am gonna hook this up to some 12 volt power to show you how bright it is and the color of the bulb. But I first wanna go through a few specs.
I mentioned the color is amber on this, quantity is for two bulbs. There are 23 LEDs per bulb. The light output is 600 lumens per bulb. Power draw at 12 volts is 0.65 amps. Voltage is 9 volts to 16 volts DC, and it does have an IP67 rating, which means it is waterproof.
So what I'm gonna do now is go ahead and hook up our connections. And, as we mentioned, doesn't matter, we can hook it up to positive or negative there, won't make a difference. And we'll go ahead and turn on our power. And once we've got our power on, you'll see how bright that amber light is. We'll go ahead and turn off our overhead lights, and you can see how bright it is.
I'm even going to zoom out so you can see from a distance how bright it is. And, as we mentioned, it's 23 LEDs per bulb. Go ahead and turn back on our overhead lights. Turn off our power and disconnect it. (items clattering) But that should do it for the review on the ARC ECO Series Amber 4257 LED turn signal bulbs with the wedge base for a quantity of two bulbs.
