Lumens are used to measure the amount of usable light that is put out by a light source. Raw lumens represent the number of lumens that the manufacturer claims the LEDs are capable of producing. It does not include the light's drive method or the amount of light lost from the lens or reflector. Effective lumens take these factors into account and represent the number of lumens that are actually produced by the complete light assembly, not just the amount of light that the diodes are capable of producing. Stable lumens builds off the idea of effective lumens by measuring the amount of light produced after 30 minutes of usage, or once the diodes have reached their average operating temperature. These bulbs have a 3,000 raw lumen capacity per bulb and produce 1,995 effective lumens per bulb. The stable lumen capacity per bulb is 1,550 lumens.

Ellen: Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and we're going to be taking a look at the 9007 LED bulb. These are going to be a replacement for your OEM bulbs, and they're going to be a great improvement over the standard bulbs that come in your vehicle. They are a custom fit, being at 9007 style. So there's just a plug and play application. It's easy to put these into place, and should be a great fit for your vehicle. To figure out if they're going to fit your particular vehicle, though, it's a good idea to use our fit guide here at etrailer.com, if you haven't done so already.
Put in your year, make and model, and then go from there to find the vehicle lights category.Now, these guys are going to be, again, an LED lights. They're going to be a really long lasting light that's going to provide a very bright illumination. I'm going to plug or hook one of these up to power so you can see how bright it is when it's turned on. Now, as I mentioned, it is a plug and play application, so you're not going to have to do anything like this to get them installed. This is just how I have to rig it up here in the studio.Now I got those, I'm going to turn on my light source and those lights are going to be pretty bright.
So even in the dark, you can see nice, bright light. It's a nice cool blue, or a cool white, as well. Going to zoom out a little bit so you can get a better field of view. So you can see it's lighting up my studio pretty well. Even just with this one little light, I know it looks spooky, but definitely will do a good job.
And this is just the light on its own without a housing to refract and reflect that light out.So I'm going to unhook this, turn everything off. We can talk about some of the features. So it does have a built-in thermal regulation system. It's going to help it to prevent any overheating, also helps that light to last longer by preventing any premature failures. It is IP67 rated, so that means that the aluminum housing can protect this against any shock, water, or dust.
IP ratings are the Ingress rating, so no dust can get in there. And it's also going to be pretty much weatherproof, or it is weatherproof, practically waterproof. That's one of those things where it's a little hard to say. It's not submersible, but it can be subjected to powerful jets of water with no problems with that. As far as the other specs, the raw lumen output for these bulbs is 3,000 per bulb, 3,000 lumens. The effective lumens is going to be 1,995, so just shy of 2,000 lumens. That's really the number to go by. The raw lumens is more of, in a perfect world with perfect circumstances and a perfect make, it's going to have that potential. But the effective lumens is more the number to pay attention to.After about 30 minutes, that drops down to the stable lumen amount of 1,550 lumens, which is still pretty bright. The color temperature again is 6,500 K or 6,500 Kelvin, so that's going to be that cool white color. The wattage per bulb is 16.5 Watts. The power draw at 13 volts is 1.3 amps per bulb. Operating voltage goes between 7.5 and 16 volts. It does have a two year limited warranty, and that's about all there is to it for these lights. One last thing I do want to mention. If you need a harness, if you have a CAN bus or PWM equipped vehicle, you might need an anti-flicker harness. You can get it as a kit with these bulbs, that is an option. Sometimes it can be a little bit cheaper to go that route, but if you're not sure if you need it, you can just get the bulbs, and then get that harness again later. Plug-and-play installation.These worked fine in my 2022 Colorado. No brighter than the factory lights but the "right" color. Didn't need the anti-flicker harness though.
I've had the opportunity to use these LED's for about a month now and I can say they have worked great. They are exceptionally brighter than the OEM halogen bulbs with a slight blueish tint. I have tried other cheap LED's that flickered or pulsed and threw the light out everywhere, blinding oncoming traffic. These LED's have a very define cut-off line and concentrate the light appropriately. These are plug-and-play so it easy to install these in my quad headlights. I have a stock height truck so I didn't need to re-aim my headlights once I was done. I would suggest these as an upgrade from stock lights. Thanks etrailer!

They are great. Anything better than stock lights. All the lights on my truck are LEDs now.
